Perfect for removing quarter round trim and base boards. Although this was my primary use, I know it has many other uses.

I had a bar like this years ago and lost it. I am in a remodeling job and had some hard nails to pull out of some very old boards we wanted to reuse. I think this
bar works better than the one I lost. It's easy to get under the nail head and pull the nail out, even if the head is a little
under the surface of the board.

I've been using it to pull nails out of my houses 100 yr. old framing. I've beat on it plenty and it is holding up.

OK. I am not an expert when it comes to remodeling. So, I have a friend who is a contractor and he promised to help me with my bathroom and kitchen remodel. So, we goto the local HomeDepot to pick up some tools so I could help him out.
I almost laughed when he told me to grab one of these. It was on a display rack amidst a whole collection of evil looking get-the-job done tools. I told my buddy, why not one of these more expensive and "feature packed" models. He simply said "trust me... grab that one and buy me a beer if I am wrong". So I picked it up and put it on my cart.
Back at the house the demo work begun. I broke out my measly looking little Nail Puller and with about a 5 minute instruction session with my contractor friend, I was weilding this sucker like an extension of my own arm! I was shocked at how easy you could drive claw end behind a deeply sunken nail and extract it with ease. Not only that, but when you needed to pry up a wall board you had the chisel end that seemed to always be at the right angle.
Not only did I find myself loving this tool within a few minutes of the demolition, I constantly found myself grabbing it to help with other duties, like prying a joist into the right position, or using to lift the seal beam up and hold it level while I nailed it. Not only is it so versatile, its actually comfortable to use, and after a few minutes, becomes an extension of your arm.
This is one of those tools that when you use it, you always think in the back of your mind "this is the best 15 bucks I have ever spent on a tool my whole life!" Folks, this is definately one you want to pick up and put in your toolbag. I highly recommend it.
