16 oz. Curved-Claw Rip Hammer is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The only hammer you'll ever need My dad bought one of these back in the day and all throughout my childhood I used this hammer. He still has it and I now had to get one. I like the weight of this hammer and it's remarkably durable. Highly recommend for everyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best ever drives a 16 penny in two strokes after setting. Well balanced and easy to control. This is a replacement for the same model which I owned for 30 years but was stolen last year

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality hammer I have owned this hammer for a number of years now and recently purchased it for my sons to add to their tool sets. The Estwing hammer line is a solid tool that should last a lifetime. The handle reduces the vibration to the hand and is very comfortable. My Father owned two and while they have a little surface rust now after so many decades in the basement they are still as functional today as when originally purchased. A couple of years ago I was on a construction site and the hammers were not the solid steel construction of the Estwing. While the wooden, fiberglass or composite hammers are functional (and less expensive) they can not stand up to the abuse that happens over time or with harsh usage. It just confirmed the value and need for high quality basic tools like the Estwing hammer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I just realized my Estwing is older than Home Depot I was banging some nails today with the Estwing and realized my Dad and I bought this when I bought my 1st house right around 1975. Lord only knows how many nails I've banged in (and clawed out) with this tool. Then later today I was at HD and looked at a new one. It is exactly the same - why mess with perfection. It might be a very few extra bucks but you'll never need another hammer.
