Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I just realized my Estwing is older than Home Depot I was banging some nails today with the Estwing and realized my Dad and I bought this when I bought my 1st house right around 1975. Lord only knows how many nails I've banged in (and clawed out) with this tool. Then later today I was at HD and looked at a new one. It is exactly the same - why mess with perfection. It might be a very few extra bucks but you'll never need another hammer. April 10, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by High quality hammer I have owned this hammer for a number of years now and recently purchased it for my sons to add to their tool sets. The Estwing hammer line is a solid tool that should last a lifetime. The handle reduces the vibration to the hand and is very comfortable. My Father owned two and while they have a little surface rust now after so many decades in the basement they are still as functional today as when originally purchased. A couple of years ago I was on a construction site and the hammers were not the solid steel construction of the Estwing. While the wooden, fiberglass or composite hammers are functional (and less expensive) they can not stand up to the abuse that happens over time or with harsh usage. It just confirmed the value and need for high quality basic tools like the Estwing hammer. January 2, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great American-made hammer! This hammer is well balanced and high quality. I was happy to find an American-made product was available, and even more pleased when I used it for the first time. I highly recommend this one! February 3, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good hammer This is a nice hammer with good balance and a comfortable grip, at a reasonable price. However, it didn't come with an instruction book! (heeheeheehee!) July 29, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by New Claw Hammer Unfortunately, standing water ruined my old claw hammer. This is a fine replacement though. June 24, 2014
