22 oz. Milled-Face Framing Hammer is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from 22 ounce Esteing hammer Great tool. The 22 ounce was larger than I wanted so I exchanged it for the 20 ounce size. Had one before and bought this one for my son. New homeowner. Quality craftsmanship. Would recommend to all handymen/women.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well crafted with good heft I was in need of a new hammer with more heft than my smaller wooden handled one. I was first leery of the rubberized handle instead of a traditional leather stacked type, but I was not disappointed. This hammer is great, and I would buy another if needed. The rubber helps dampen the smack of an errant blow and is comfortable that I can sink nails all day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Estwing Delivers... I've owned my Estwing hammer for over 15 years and finally had to replace it due to the milled head being worn down to a smooth surface from daily use at my job. Estwing hammers are notorious for their quality, durability, reliability, and value. Not only are they constructed to withstand punishment and years of worry-free use, they're made in the U.S.A. Estwing is the ONLY hammer I'll ever own and I recommend this brand without hesitation and complete confidence if you're considering purchasing a hammer. Bottom line: this is the best hammer ever made and worth every single penny. Bar none!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great professional-quality hammer For framing purposes, this is the best hammer to have in your arsenal. I framed houses for a summer and this was the "weapon" of choice for our crew. The all-metal design is very strong and the thin (but durable) neck combined with the industrial grade handle material really works to deflect shock. The 22 oz. size allows you to get some good velocity for really pounding whatever is needed. It might tire you out initially, but you'll appreciate the heavier hammer over the lighter one within a week. Again, this is a great framing hammer. It's large, so if you need an all-purpose hammer, you might want to look at the smaller size version to give you more flexibility in tight locations. Definitely go smaller for car work for example. But these types of Estwing hammers are great. I've been using mine since 1996 with no problems. One of my best tools.
