Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Favorite hammer Well balanced, perfect size, easily the best hammer out there September 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hammer This hammer is easy to swing, absorbs vibration pretty well, and you don't have to worry about taking off 1/2 your finger if you smack it because it's got a smooth face...never cared for the rough in hammers. Those things will take a chunk with it when you hit a finger. Estwing has always been a recommended brand. My grandpa swung one all his career, though he prefers the 28oz. It cost a little more so I went with the 22. August 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very comfortable Comfortable grip, well balanced, only complaint is smooth face slips on nails. July 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best all around hammer This was the first real hammer ive ever owned besides a little 12oz curved claw my dad gave me when i was a little tike growing up working with him in the shop and i have loved every minute of owning it. About 2 months ago at HD my tool bag was stolen from my truck and this hammer was in it. I figured after reading reviews id pick up a stilleto and it wasnt worth the money. This hammer can easily out drive the stilleto and the only downside is it weighs more and i have to tighten the tool belt up some. But after i get my next paycheck ill be hanging that $200 stilleto up and purchasing another one of these trusty hammers. October 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect hammer. This hammer is perfect for all uses. From framing to finish. November 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best hammer on the market My father bought me my first 'grown-up' hammer in 1995; I was 13, and helping build our post-military house. It was a 16-oz straight claw with the ubiquitous blue handle, and I have it today. I can still drive nails faster and more accurately with it than most handy-men I come across, though it requires a bit heavier swing. It is far and away my favorite hand tool, and a treasured memento that will (very soon) be passed on to my own son. Cannot recommend the Estwing brand enough. May 25, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great hammer for working with Simmons pans No better hammer for form work. Worth every penny July 15, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by If Thor knew any better, he would carry an Estwing I bought this hammer for bigger jobs that my 16 oz Estwing wasn't meant for. After a few days, this became my main hammer. I have used it to tear out walls, flooring, windows and used it to rebuild the walls and replace the flooring. I had a 22 oz Estwing back in high school, but in the process of my move, it got lost somewhere and when I needed it, it was nowhere to be found. All is right in the world now, when I do home improvement and this hammer is on my tool belt. It has many scratches and such from repeater use on the head, and even paint on the grip from painting and using it to hammer the lids down. My father in law likes it as well, but more partial to his Estwing 20 oz he bought in the early 80s. I look forward to a lifetime of use with it and hopefully will get handed down to my kids so they can keep the pinger alive. August 14, 2014
