This is a very light hammer for delicate work, like putting in a picture hook without feeling like a bull in a china shop. It's well made and suits that purpose. If you try it on anything bigger, you'll quickly learn why standard hammers are heavier.
The forked end is the magnetic end--it's like an old-school horseshoe magnet. I have yet to find that useful but it does hold a tack. It also works as a high-pitched tuning fork--mine's a slightly sharp high C.
The long thin head is sometimes nice but sometimes gets in the way.

The hammer hit the nail that I aimed at and not my finger nail. Wonderful!

Built to last. Wonderful for hanging pictures and other small projects you don't need to whip out the real hammers for.
