I've had my enviro steamer for almost a year; today as I was using the steamer, it overheated. The housing inside melted and the steamer began pouring smoke.

I have had one of these since 2000. By far one of the best and most reliable steam cleaners.
All others don't seem as well made nor do they last. This was a very reliable product for me and after 15 years.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by CleaningPro Does it's job , but feels a little on the cheap side.
If your looking for a steam mop to do it's job while still being cost effective, then this is the perfect one for that. It's very light weight and easy to use. It does feel a touch on the cheap side the handle itself feels particularly unstable. If you walk away from it but did not ensure that the handle wasn't placed completely upright then it will fall. I feel this step mop would be more ideal if it sold thicker padding for the mop pads. The reason being it does leave lines on the floor from the unit, you can tell it is because of the very thin pad so it creates a dragging plastic sound. It does steam off all previous cleaning products but when finished in order to create a very streak free , line free floor you will need to dry mop back over some areas with a dry microfiber pad. After you do all this then the floors actually look really good. But considering the goal is to save time and clean the floors effectively this product does not help with that. If they change out the replacement mop pads to a thicker more cushioned pad I believe then this product would work beautifully.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by truth4u The water in base instead of handle is OUTSTANDING!
I really like this steam mop on my ceramic tile floors, which I have throughout my apartment. Having the water in the base instead of the handle is absolutely the best. The steam cleans the floor VERY WELL. I go over spots and they melt away. If one is a bit stubborn, just let the unit sit on it for a few seconds and then continue. I highly recommend the Eureka Enviro Steam Mop.

Bought this Enviro 313A steam mop in Sept 2010. It was used about once a month to clean a 600 sq ft hardwood laminate floor. After 3.5 yrs of use, ie used less than 50 times the unit no longer makes any steam. It was always run with water in the tank, never without. You would think this would have lasted longer. Get something else.

I have hardwood and tile flooring throughout my home and the Eureka Enviro steamer makes cleaning them a breeze! I used to dread cleaning my hardwood floors because of the amount of time and cleaning products I had to use just to get them to look good for a few hours. The Enviro Steamer cut my cleaning time and my expenses by more than half. I no longer have to use cleaning products, the steamer gets rid of the dirt, grim and odors all in one easy step.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by EleEng An outstanding product!
In convenience I rank this floor steamer right up there with sliced bread. I used Eureka's first steamer model for more than ten years. For that period of time I never had to wax or scrub any of my kitchen or hardwood floors; they still all look brand new. The unit finally stopped working about three weeks ago and I was very happy to see Eureka has now put this steamer back into production. My only complaint is the power cord on this current model is quite a bit shorter than on their one ten years ago. So I find myself constantly moving to a different AC wall outlet. Also note that every few years you will have to order more magic cloths as the old ones wear out, or you can make your own from some old towels. Also, do not use tap water in the unit. I used distilled water and as I mention above the previous unit worked over ten years.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Chagiver Not as good as I expected
It operated as described, heated up in 4 minutes, but the pads are paper thin, and it's difficult to put any kind of floor pressure using this device. I would not recommend this if you are using it for deep down clean.
