I have been using this vacuum for about four years. Finally a vacuum that has practical features. All the accessories store on the vacuum. The best part for me is that it is lightweight yet still gets the job done. This vacuum has a control that lets you turn off the sweeper brush when you want to use on bare floors or low pile rugs without "eating the rug corners"; or when you just need to use the brush for quick pick-ups (and is great for dusting your chair rail!). The handle collapses for even more compact storage. I'm actually going to buy a second one for the upstairs! Great product!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Handyman1 Great Vacumuum for price
Folks don't hesitate to buy this vac because someone says it not enginenered right. Dude the reason it blow air out from vent on front of vac is to cause dust and dirt particicles in front of vac to lift off surface to get suck into vac. It works great picking up stuff on the edge of a wall stuff gets blown back toward the suction of the vac. A great idea. This vac is perfect for small office or apt. This vac is sponsered by Electrolux company makers of high quality applicances world wide it is built well should last.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Happycamper Best "Small Vacuum" I've Ever Had!
I love this vacuum. Bought it to clean a camping trailer - sold the trailer and brought the vacuum home. I have Pergo floors and two area rugs. There is a button so you can turn the brush off to clean the floors. Yes, it does blow dust and dog hair, but if you sneak up on it sideways, it works!!! Then to do the area rugs, just flip the switch and it has great suction. I recommend dumping the filter cup after each use. The filter clogs up quick, which I figure it means that it has great suction!! Love it!!!!!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by JoeJoe filter clogs easily, blows debris
Do not buy! It just blows the debris around the house when used on hard floors. The dust and dog hair flies up on to the counter tops. This was mentioned in other reviews. The hose does not stay in place. I have been hit in the face by it many times while reaching down to plug in the vaccum. I have had this vaccum for 6 months and the handle will no longer click into place. This is my 4th light weight vaccum and the worst one.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mackinac Great little vacuum for the price
I purchased this vacuum to replace another vac of the same make and model. I had had it for 5 years, and the wheel kept falling off, and the hose separated from the wand, so it was time for a replacement. It had received a LOT of wear and tear, so I believe that 5 years, for the price, was a great life-span! It is light and easy to use. so I figured, why not just get another Optima!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by NeNo Another Great Eureka Vac
I have been buying Eureka vacuums for over 5 years now and next to the "Pet Lover" series, this is now my new favorite vacuum. It's even lighter than the Pet Lover series, has same style canister filter, easy to clean, and really really low profile. This vac has a long power cord, strong vaccum hose for accessories, and has two onboard attachments for "hose" mode. Great buy.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by quidveritas For the money you cannot beat this vaccum
This is a great little machine. Light weight and far more durable than I ever imagined. The prior owner left this machine when I moved into my new house -- that was 8 years ago. Still going strong! I do not use this on my hardwood floors (use a mint for that). I have been very pleased with the performance of this machine on my area rugs. Highly recommended.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by kritter great vacuum for the money
i have had vacuums that cost hundreds of dollars, require bags and occasional service/maintinence. this vacuum sucks up stuff better than any of those, doesn't require bags and even if i have to replace it every two years, it's still cheaper AND BETTER than the more expensive vacuums i have had.
