I bought this as a Christmas present for my sweetie. I don't drink wine myself but she is in love with it. We did buy an additional pulll out shelf for it which cost an extra $80.00. It only comes with one pull out shelf and 4 stationary shelves. We had read other reviews that people were not happy with this product, but it's been runing a coouple of months now with no problem. I relly like the digital readout myself. You do have to wait a few minutes after plugging it in before the read out will display.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MrLo Arrived as described; holds temperature well
The product arrived as described and so far works just as expected. Set temp at 56 and the temp remains between 55.8 and 56.5 when door isn't opened frequently. The cooler compartment on the bottom is a very nice feature. Door shuts very tightly. Lock is also useful. For an appliance, the build qualitity was very good. The unit is described as reconditioned on the web, but if it is, I can't tell. The Eurocave arrived in the original factory packaging, shipped from France to the US distributor (wineenthusiast) to me without being repackaged.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Scott Better than most
I've been through 3 other brands that didn't last and/or performed poorly. I am hoping the big investment in Eurocave will pay off. So far (3 weeks), the unit seems to hold temp perfectly. Slight noise. Wish the shelves were designed to hold different shaped bottles better. Seems a bit overpriced but unfortunately the competition performs poorly so this may be the best option out there for a quality wine cellar.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JerseyGal Good product for Extra Storage of Wine
The product seems to be well built and does the job. My only critique is that it works best with standard sized bottles (typical shaped bottles with a tapered neck,) not higher shaped bottles with a shorter neck and longer body as the beech shelves are shaped to allow the long necked bottles to lie flat. If you have other shapes, they don't fit flat as expected and the neck sticks up a bit. We had to put the typical shaped bottle as a bottom row and then put other shaped bottles over that once we were off the shelf 1 layer. This is something to consider. I wish they had offered an option of the type of shelf shape. My unit is only 2 weeks old so I don't have more to say right now. A shelf for other sized bottles would be good. The black door is good to keep the wine protected from light and you cannot, per their instructions, put the bottles against the wall of the unit due to condensation. This is not an issue, just a point to remember. You also need to wait 2 days after delivery to plug it in, also in the instructions. This unit is good for extra wine storage that you are not using as a visual accent piece of furniture.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by igor Maybe I would've liked it better if it wasn't broken on delivery
Does its job, but is built of very cheap materials. It looks and feels like you've bought it pre-assembled in IKEA.
