Plan on using these to hold together a square made of 4x4x8 posts filled with rocks as for the foundation of my shed to sit on. I am would like to know the recommended size is for the drill bit to pre-drill a guide hole for the screw. I don't want it too loose that there is no bite or too tight that it splits the posts.
