Answer:
The pump is listed as 230V 60Hz 9.3A 3450RPM. So, that's 230 volts AC at 60 hertz and 9.3 amps.

Answer:
No. You would need a 1 hp control box in addition to the pump. I don't believe that the brand is important. I used an extra 1 hp Franklin box on my pump.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by PROBLEM HANDLED WELL Bought this pump, installed as I have many other pumps. Worked well for 5 weeks. Pump motor locked up.. Home depot replaced it quickly and painlessly. Only real problem was that I had to install a pump again! October 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good quality pump This is a good pump for the money. I definitely recommend the 20gpm model over the 10gpm model - the price being virtually the same. All you need to know is basic electricity and how to screw pipes together. I am a 77 yr old man and I installed this on 60 ft of pipe with 12 ft 2x4 tripod, a come-a-long and the help of a friend. Not the easiest job but doable with determination. I have done this job before and used these pumps before also. September 27, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Well built Everilt This submersible pump is almost too nice to send down the well. It is solidly built (and heavy), and made of stainless steel. The guy who drilled our well installed it. To properly install this pump, you will also need to purchase a control box and the appropriate amount of wire in the gauge necessary for the depth of the well. The use and care manual is very specific about insallation of this pump. It has detailed drawings of necessary accessories and equipment for successful completion of your well. The pump worked without any issues. The flow is great, more than enough for our three bath home. The pump seems pricey, but it is really well built and strudy. And it comes with a 3 year warranty! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Really Puts Out the Volume Replacement of my 115 V submersible well pump was easy. Because of my previous setup, I had to wire for a 230V with new wire and a new breaker in the panel I have it down about 75 feet. I am able to effortlessly run two showers and well as operate the dishwasher with no drop in pressure. The built in check valve works well and never needs to be primed The construction feels solid as a rock and is all stainless steel. The 3 year warranty is a nice perk too but based on how it feels and performs, it won't be necessary March 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good High volumn booster pump I am using this pump to supply water to my house from a set of storage tanks located 1050 feet away and 130 feet below the house. I mounted the pump vertically in one of the 2500 gallon tanks. I had been using a 1/2 hp horizontal booster pump. This deep well submersible supplies far more water and at a higher pressure than the old pump. I can only draw down the tanks until I get to about 18" without the pump sucking air but since the tanks are 8 feet deep this is not a big problem. Just in case I am using a pump safety control that will shut the pump down if it tries to run dry. One thing to remember is that 3 wire well pumps never come with a motor control box. You need to have a control box or order one when you order the pump. February 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Energy saving well pump Our old well pump was failing and needed to be replaced before we awoke to no water. This replacement pump was installed in a 80' deep well. Since our previous pump was installed by a plumber, we had a friend with plumbing experience assist with the installation. The hardest part was removing the old pump - the new one installed easily. The pump itself is well built with stainless steel. I was impressed that the pump included an energy efficient motor. Since installing this pump, my electric bill has actually decreased. I'm sure that is due to a combination of an old, inefficient pump and the new efficient one, but regardless of the reason, I am pleased to have a smaller bill. The pump is rated at 20 GPM and supplies enough water for our two story home. I am very pleased with this pump. I have all of the water we need and then some, plus a lower electric bill as a bonus ! I highly recommend this pump to anyone needing to replace their old, inefficient one. April 4, 2016
