Recommended bolts or screws?

I'm planning to use this on a shed door. I was planning to use lag bolts in order to make entry more secure although I recognize the shed windows would make entry possible anyway.

I grabbed some 5/6" lag blots at HD but I'm finding that near the top of the bolt, there is a square of metal that prevents this blot from sitting flush in the hinge holes. It's very close. I'm wondering if I should just use a metal file to round off that square or use a different size bolt? Or, does someone have another recommendation?

Unless I missed it, this product does not list the maximum or recommended load-bearing weight for each hinge. Does anyone know?
