CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 5 out of 5 by 1 reviewer.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Powerful spring for a 130 lbs two car garage door My Wayne Dalton torsion springs were broken. It costs over $90 for a pair of torsion springs. It takes more than 2 hours to replace the torsion springs. I decided to modify my garage door with a pair of extension springs with spring loaded pulleys. Searching for a pair of quality springs online and found this Everbilt 150 lb extension springs. Normal extension springs working length is around 46 inches. These Everbilt extension springs normal extension working length is 67 inches. My door is 130 lbs. If I use a pair of 150 lb. springs, each spring force is about 75 lb. Everbilt springs can last 10,000 open/close cycles. With a pair of 150 lb springs for a 130 lb garage door, these springs should last over 10,000 cycles without problem. Installed the pulleys, cables, and springs in less than 2 hours. The garage door opens/closes so smoothly. These springs will be much cheaper and easier to replace than the Wayne Dalton torsion springs. March 22, 2014
