I've had these nearly a year now, and zero issues. I'm adding this review now because I need to build another shelf and will be buying the exact same ones, so I figured I'd post a review while I'm here.
I had very high expectations for these brackets after holding them in the store and they have not disappointed. I have used them for a fairly important and fairly heavy duty application: holding 4 big monitors, a keyboard/mouse tray, and 2 heavy studio monitor speakers. This gets the monitors off the desk and allows me much more flexibility as I mess around with standing/sit/stand keyboard solutions.
I used 1/4" lag bolts instead of screws, and this required the mounting holes to be drilled out just slightly. The piece of wood was an expensive 3' section of 3/4" oak, also from home depot. It's all been rock solid. (I used the same oak as a backing plate for a big TV). In any event, these brackets would certainly hold their advertised weight.

High quality. Make sure to use the correct fasteners for the material you're going into. If the weak point is the fastener, this strong bracket will pop right out of the wall.

The paint finish is a hardened enamel that doesn't scratch. There are three holes for mounting. Two are offset to allow fastening past the bracket support.
The brackets are easy to install and hold a lot of weight.
We used these brackets to hold temporarily hold composite flooring for a project. Each box weighs about 30 lbs.
we will add a 3/4" plywood shelf at a later date for a strong storage shelf.

This bracket will hold half-inch plywood shelving with ease. However, it is important to follow the manufacturer's recommendation of using #14 1-1/2 inch size screws into the wall studs for support. You will have no issues with the strength of this shelf bracket as long as you use the proper fasteners. I highly recommend this shelf bracket for any heavy duty shelving application you may have.

If you need shelf brackets for that heavier shelf project, go with these. They are painted and very well built. I'm using these in my utility room, for shelves and I have plans to close in the carport and use them for my shelving needs there also. They look great and are very sturdy.

This bracket is simply massive. The metal is weighty and strong. It has clean lines, just a very basic and no frills design. I used a pair of these to mount a 48" long 16" wide wood shelf in my garage and I have put 3 tub containers on top which hold at least 20-30 pounds each. I used wallboard anchors in my sheetrock, and although I would have preferred to mount these directly into studs, I have not had any issue with the shelf in the week since I put it up.

I wanted plastic tub shelving in my garage. I purchased 5 brackets and cut some 1/2 inch x 2 foot wide plywood. My tubs are sitting pretty. Great sturdy shelf bracket. Very practical. I will make another shelf using the same materials to store our Christmas tree.
