You say its BBQ safe, what is that based on? The reason I ask is I had a similar project in mind and asked if it was safe and someone responded with "no" (with no reason why). Nice basket by the way!

Is this sfe for BBQ grill?

Is this plated with cad or zinc (galvanized)? It doesnt look like bare metal and the description says the finish is "silver metallic" Please advise.

It is bare metal. The packaging in the store clearly is labeled for BBQ as possible use for both sizes. A graphic shows it being used as the food grill. However I question if the gauge is strong enough to support much weight when the metal is continuously heated.

Id order that part from the heater manufacturer as for one those are usually a finer mesh material & 2 to get that bent in a round shape will be very difficult without it looking terrible:-)
