Customer Reviews

3-1/2 in. Zinc-Plated Heavy Duty Tee Hinge is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy duty stainless hinges for corrosive environment I selected these hinges for a fence gate at a waterfront house. The owners have seen rapid rusting of painted steel and galvanized steel materials around the house and asked for something better. These hinges are very heavy duty and solidly built with a fixed hinge pin. The provided screws were a little short for use in cedar (a very soft wood) so I replaced the screws in the upper, more heavily loaded hinge with 2 1/2" stainless steel screws. Otherwise the hinges and provided screws were just fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good, sturdy outdoor hinge I used two of these hinges to mount a heavy, homemade gate and they work and look great. The five mounting holes provide more than enough hold in a 4x4 or larger post.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy Great hinge, perfect for hanging homemade chicken coop door. I have two of them holding a 40 pound or so door, and there is no slack. 4 stars because the screws are short, a little over an inch, but they seem to be holding well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My job 'hinged' on it Good general-purpose hinge. Nothing about it was visually pleasing. More of an industrial feel/use. Does not close flat so allow about 1/2" if using it in that manner. As a surface mount, would work great. Nylon inserts add a little friction to the open/close of it. Found that #10 screws fit best.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poorly crafted screws included... Every screw head was filled with some sort of glass beads which needed to be dug out in order for a drill bit to fit into the screw head. Rather time-consuming when trying to finish a job.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke in two weeks not good, but products these days do not last anyway, so our expectations are already at an all time low.
