Can I hook up a standard hose to it?

Asked by: Denise
Yes. I did and it has more output than the house so be careful which way you point it. ;)

Model # SUP80-HD: Is there a filter that needs cleaning?

Do I need to keep up any filter changes or cleaning? Thanks.
Asked by: BP1971
If it is properly positioned for use the housing has holes and a grating to filter out larger particles. If you are pumping water with a lot of debris I would recommend putting the pump in a filter basket or put some hardware cloth over the bottom.

CAN I GET IT IN 220 VOLTS OPERATION? IS IT IMMERSIBLE?

I have a coy fish pawn of 3 cubic liters. i need this pump for circulation and waterfall pushing water. i am from Israel and we work with 220 volts electric power. can I get a suitable pump for my needs? 2500-3000 GPH will do.
Asked by: dave48
For this pump you will need a stepdown 240 to 120 volts transformer. Everbilt does produce other higher voltage pumps for your voltage application. It is submersible.

I have used them for years BUT when they changed the design and went to EVERBILT there nothing but EVERCRAP. I have had 3 go out in 3 months. They either seize up or trip the ground fault. I have one that was replaced not 2 months ago and today when I stoped it to clean it, when I pluged it back in it started tripping the GF breaker again. Home Depot should look into this manufacturer and not buy from them. DON'T BUY THESE HORRIBLE PUMPS, YOU WILL BE SORRY! I GIVE THIS PRODUCT A -5

I read some of the other reviews but I have to add my two cents. For its price this thing is tough! When I started using it the 'water feature' was a weed infested swamp and this thing moved all kinds of sludge, mud, rocks and small sticks and when it was done it produced an excellent stream of water for the newly renovated water fall!

The pump worked for a few months and seized up (or something) when I started up my pond in the spring. It kept popping the GFI and wouldn't do anything but hum on a non-GFI outlet. I called Everbilt at 1-877-527-0313 (apparently a HD number) and after jumping thru the typical non-stop prompts got a person answering the Everbilt extension. He gave me some story about HD's Everbilt brand being manufactured by numerous companies, gave me a different number to call and ended the call. I called the number and was told I was reaching Superior Pump but they denied any affiliation with Everbilt. When I jumped through the hoops of getting back to Everbilt I kept getting busy signals and finally a callback message asking for my number. Seems pretty sketchy to me and I'm guessing I won't get a return call. Should have read the reviews on this pump. Many people said the Everbilt pumps are junk and I have no reason not to agree.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dont Buy This Pump My 1st pump of this model lasted less than one month before it started tripping the GFCI. Took it back and got a new one. It lasted another 4 months before doing the same. Tried running it directly without the GFCI and it lasted another month before a developing an open circuit. This version of this pump is built in China. The prior version of this pump was made in Italy and I would get 2 years plus before the failed. I had a small water feature with a 5 ft rise on the water, so not too hard of a life. Nice cold water that should have kept the pump happy. And I run mine with a mesh screen filter to keep the crud of out the pump.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent! Yikes! This thing moves the water! I got this for a small-ish water feature on our patio. It runs to a fountain with a diverter to a filter. The bad news is that it is way too much pump for my original design. The good news is that I wanted a bigger water feature anyway. It's really heavy duty and comes with a power cord of appropriate length instead of some little pigtail. Makes it much easier to keep the water away from the sparks. Nice features include the multiple outlet size adapters and a handle for easy removal for cleaning and maintenance. Only downside is now I've got to start digging something more appropriately sized for the pump.

It lasted for almost 4 years and ran 24x7 with no problems. It finally failed in April 2016 so I bought a replacement for it and it's the same brand and type and it lasted only until July 2016 which was 3 months. So I went back and had it replaced again and that one lasted until Dec 2, 2016 which was 5 months. So we are returning this one to get a third replacement. If this new replacement pump fails within a few months, it will be the last time I buy anything that carries the Everbilt name on it. So we're hoping for the best but am not real confident.

I had to replace it in July 2016 due to the newly purchased quit working after only 3 months. Then on Dec. 2, 2016 the replacement pump quit working so I got a replacement for it. On Dec 7, 2016 the new replacement quit working. So since Apr 2016 until Dec 7 2016 this pump has been replaced 4 times and I am done. I will never buy another Everbilt pump again. They used to be really good since the first one I bought lasted almost 4 years before it quit running. That was when I bought the replacement mentioned above in April. They are a piece of expensive JUNK..... DON'T BUY ONE
