Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by MarkS Poor quality on positioning adapter
The thermocouple itself seemed to be an exact replacement. However, the positioning adapter was injection molded and made of cheap metal. The threads were so poorly done that it wouldn't grip in the holder. I had to use the old one -- which wasn't a problem but was still disappointing.
Given the poor quality of the positioning adapter, I'm now a little worried about the overall quality of the device, especially since I read some of the other reviews which said it failed soon after installation.
I also noticed that HD sells a White Rodgers model for $5.11; less than half the price of this one! But, they don't stock them in the stores; only available online. That seems like a real ripoff; if it had been available in the store there's no way I ever would have bought this one.

Included the necessary fittings for my application, unlike the only thermocouple offered in stock at the other big box store. HD actually has a small selection of them. An HVAC store would of course have more, but at twice the cost.

I recently purchased several of these thermocouples. All failed after few days of operation and one was dead out of the package. I finally tracked down the original thermocouple for my utica boiler. It was a Honeywell and had run for 10 years. Also note that it cost $4..65. about 1\3 the cost
Also note that the universal adaptor threads did not. match my pilot had jury rig to use

It is a universal item used with gas valves. I used it on an older model VALCAN Professional range and worked like OE.

Thermocouple is correct replacement for original Thermocouple in my gas furnace. I keep a spare since they are in the pilot flame and don't last forever.
