Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works well, though it has security issues I agree that the security of this lock is compromised with the screws installed from the outside. My old lock that this replaced also had exterior screws, so I didn't think about it when I purchased this as a replacement. However, I didn't use the screws supplied. I installed this lock using bolts with the lock washers and nuts on the inside. Also, when the handle is locked its position blocks the head of the bolts making it very difficult to unscrew them. If a crook is determined to get into the garage it should at least slow him down. I have to recommend this only if it is installed in this manner. November 18, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad design Why would you design a door lock where the screws are accessible from the outside? It defeats the purpose of having the lock. Two screws won't deter someone from quickly removing it, then turning the entire t-lock and shaft and opening the garage. Besides that, the material is good - shaft seems good an sturdy. If you need this as a lock - then i would recommend to look for something else. December 8, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for machine door handle Using this for guard door handle for machine. Less $ by far than purpose-made machine handles / latches. /a August 6, 2013
