I know that the bottom hole can be centered to screw into a stud; but will it be safe to insert two screws on the top two holes without anchors.....will the two top screws enter the stud? or are that outside the stud?

thanks

Answer:
It depends on how the stud is framed. I know for ours, it fits flush and screws right into the stud. Ours is a 2x4 and the brackets fits nicely on the 2 and on the 4.

Answer:
If the bottom hole is centered in the stud, the top two screw holes should enter a 2x4 stud. If the screws are not in a stud, anchors should be used that are rated for this weight.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Does Not Bend!!! These shelf brackets live up to their descriptions! It really does hold a significant amount of weight. I put these up in my garage and used them with old shelving boards. I placed a good 25lbs+ on each of the beams and over the course of a year or more, none have bent to the pressure/weight. I would recommend these any day! November 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Value and Strong I have a bed that was given to me but the side rails were missing the wood edge that supports the box spring. I tried 4 one by 4s screwed in but they splintered and the bed eventually fell through then I saw these so I purchased 10 and put 5 on each side and voila the bed passed the kid jump test with flying colors. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Product could be improved. I drilled a hole in the support below the shelf support centered , so I could drive a screw into the 2 x 4 stud. August 24, 2013
