Can I buy longer track or butt two together?

I have a basement nook under a plenum that spans about 13 feet and I would like to install four doors.
Asked by: JH
Yes you can Butt two together, however the rail may need some slight bending to match perfectly. I had to "bend" mine with an open end crescent loosely fitted.

"The Everbilt 72 in. Bi-Fold Sliding Door Set allows 2 sliding closet doors to move smoothly and quietly." Is that 2 closet doors that are together 72 inches wide, or each 72 inches wide? Does the 72 inch dimension refer to the opening, or a single door? Or to put it another way, could I use a single '72 in Sliding Door Set' for 2 x 72 inch doors in a 12ft wide opening? Or would I need 2 x '72in Sliding Door Sets' for that size door + opening?

After messing with the old hardware for bypass doors for an hour I went and purchased this kit and had it installed in twenty minutes with very little effort. The height adjustable rollers and track worked well together and it included every thing needed to mount a new set of doors . Pay attention to set #1 and set # 2 on the roller wheels . While you could use a hole saw to drill for the recessed pulls it is better to make a template with a 2 1/8 hole saw, then use a high bearing flush trimmer in a router.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from sliders When I decided to replace bi-fold closet doors due to their interfering with vertical blinds I looked for a way to eliminate them. I decided on sliding doors ,but was unsure that it would be an affordable and a task that could be undertaken by a mid-level homeowner type of handyman. I bought the track set and found that the instructions left nothing to the imagination and was able to complete the changeover without difficulty. The project came out great and I will now do all the other closets.

Great that the rollers are adjustable to level the doors. Solid track to hold doors. Used my own screws and door handles, so can't tell about theirs. Interesting design on bottom door guide. End stops not included in case your track and doors don't butt up against a wall, but not a bit deal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beware of Door Height Dimensions Step 4 of the enclosed instructions calls for a bottom clearance of the door to be between 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inches this should read 1/4 to 1/2 Inches. The metric dimensions for this in the enclosed instructions are 6.4 to 12.6 mm which are correct. Interestingly the total door height given on the outside package of 1 3/4 inches less than finished opening is correct.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from look at the pieces carefully! Found this on another site wanted to share here... A critical piece of info left off of instructions is that there are 2 different glides/hardware to attach at top of doors. 2 of the glides are straight #1 (which have to be used on the front door), 2 of the glides are angled #2(which must be used on the back doors). If you do not do this, when using thicker 1 3/8" doors, the hardware will not allow the doors to pass. This installation was super easy, but this is a critical piece of information left off of the instructions. Good quality - easy to install. Once you figure that out the doors stop fighting you and everything works as planned

Rated 2 out of 5 by from misinformation in the installation instructions What you really need to know, but won't find out in the instructions: each sliding door set has four hangers (2 for each door), and of the four hangers two are labeled with a #1 and two are labeled with a #2. The rear door must have the #1 hangers and the front door must have the #2 hangers. If you don't do this the doors will rub together and jam. Why they couldn't have labeled the each pairing of hangers "F" and "B" for front and back, and why they couldn't have stated this crucial information more clearly, I don't know.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product I'm generally pretty bad at leaving reviews, but after seeing some of the negative reviews on this item, I felt like I needed to say something. 1st, yes, what everyone is saying, the instructions don't explain whether #1 or #2 is in the back or front. But after doing it in the wrong order, seeing that they rubbed, I reversed them, which took me 5 minutes. Not sure that makes the product receive 1 or 2 stars. There's also another mistake in the instructions, and the reason I was checking the reviews in the first place, for the door pulls it says to drill a 3/4" hole, which is obviously wrong, so I was looking for the correct measurement somewhere. On closer inspection it is the size of a standard door knob hole, 2 1/8" inch I think, so that problem is solved. Now the good stuff, and why I don't think this deserves such a low rating. - The door pulls look nice, better than the ones in other kits at this price ( I guess thats relative to your taste) - The Dial made it easy to adjust the slight gap on the side of the door to the frame, since I guess my top frame must be slightly off level. - Screws and track are good and strong, I have no worries about anything falling apart. I'm pretty happy with this.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good quality, bad instructions. This kit works fine after some install problems caused by the instructions. There are 2 different sets of hangers in the kit, the 2 hangers with the offset top wheel bracket are for rear(inside) door, the 2 hangers with the straight top wheel bracket are for the front(outside) door. The instructions make no mention of this and the pictures show the 4 hangers as being identical. There is no excuse for an error of this importance in the included instructions.
