Answer:
the trim on the sides should not be a problem, however the top will be (I'm pretty sure will be). After the doors are installed you will need trim wide enough to cover the track and rollers. It will most likely need to be at least 4" wide or the roller/hangers will show

Answer:
The sliding door set is installed in the door opening and should not interfere with the molding on the outside of the door frame. The molding could be removed as a precaution if you are concerned about it getting hit / dinged while handling / installing the track.

Answer:
After installing one I can't see why this wouldn't work. The track has no end cap. The 1 3/8 door is too thick for proper pass over so as long as your using some 1 inch or less it should work fine.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.2 out of 5 by 19 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Not a problem, good product Some review writers had a problem. I had none. If you pay attention to the instructions, there is no problem. There are 2 different size hangers. The one with the least off-set goes on the front door, the one with the most off-set, on the rear door. I took two 2x4s and ripped them down to 1 3/8 inch thick and 80" long and put a hanger on each one to test the fit. It fit perfect and there was no clearance problem. Because the space is carpeted, I had to cut 1 1/2 inches off the bottom of the doors. I installed the bottom guide after I hung the doors. No problems, I'm very pleased with this product. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Does not support the 1 3/8 thickness; hardware gets in the way. This setup kind of works; which to me is a huge disappointment. A thinner door might work fine but the 1 3/8 is to large for the hardware even though it's clearly written it supports this size. I can open and shut the door but only with extra effort and the doors will not pass by each other to switch sides. January 26, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Good quality, bad instructions. This kit works fine after some install problems caused by the instructions. There are 2 different sets of hangers in the kit, the 2 hangers with the offset top wheel bracket are for rear(inside) door, the 2 hangers with the straight top wheel bracket are for the front(outside) door. The instructions make no mention of this and the pictures show the 4 hangers as being identical. There is no excuse for an error of this importance in the included instructions. October 22, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by LOOK AT EACH DOOR HANGER! You need to make sure to look at each door hanger the ones with more space/larger offset go in the back. The instructions try to explain this, but it wasn't making any sense to me,( what was being offset?) So after looking at these reviews I now see that you have two different pairs of hangers. EVERBILT!!!!!!!! PLEASE INCLUDE THIS ON YOUR INSTRUCTIONS IN THE FUTURE November 1, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best and Easiest to Use Installation is super easy. Just pay attention to the roller offsets. The rollers with the smaller offsets are for the front door and the two with the deeper offsets go on the back door. Quickly adjust a roller by lifting that end of door (to take the weight off) then turn the plastic wheel to raise or lower. Couldn't be easier September 29, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Does not work on 1-3/8 doors. It just doesn't. This is a well made product, EXCEPT, it does not work on 1-3/8" doors. Here's an idea, put a tiny bit more effort into the product, charge $20 for one that actually works. Too much sweat into this to find out it doesn't work. This product is an insult from the manufacturer and especially from Home Depot. September 5, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by False info on packaging This system DOES NOT work with 1 3/8" doors despite what it says on the packaging. There's insufficient clearance for the wheel assemblies with such thick doors. August 23, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by look at the pieces carefully! Found this on another site wanted to share here... A critical piece of info left off of instructions is that there are 2 different glides/hardware to attach at top of doors. 2 of the glides are straight #1 (which have to be used on the front door), 2 of the glides are angled #2(which must be used on the back doors). If you do not do this, when using thicker 1 3/8" doors, the hardware will not allow the doors to pass. This installation was super easy, but this is a critical piece of information left off of the instructions. Good quality - easy to install. Once you figure that out the doors stop fighting you and everything works as planned April 3, 2012
