Can I orders these and if so long before they can be delivered to my store for me to pickup?

Asked by: tlyn
This is a very common product and most all HD stores will have it in stock. If you need it that day and your store is out, HD is the largest home improvement outlet and there usually is another one near by. HD's helpful staff can very quickly tell you the closest store, directions to and how many of that particular product they have in stock. If you choose to have it ordered to your HD store it usually comes very quickly depending on the product and where it is coming from and there is no charge.

Would this make a good chicken roost pole?

Asked by: ChiknMan
Not exactly my area of expertise, but the pole is very strong and designed to support a considerable weight of clothing, so I am sure it would support the weight of several chickens. Since the pole is 6 feet long, you might have to consider using a support in the middle, but I’d try it first without the mid-support, and if it sags in the middle with birds aboard, a simple support can be added.

I need a pole to fit in a closet that is 110"

Asked by: mp123
I would purchase {4) Everbuilt shelf and rod brackets and install two separate units but to but with seam in the center of the closet. This will provide you with adaquet shelving as well as a support system for your pole. If there already is a shelve great! Do not remove. Simply mount the brackets to the underside of the shelf as well as the wall. I would use (2) 72 inch solid oak closet poles and cut to 55 inches each to give you the 110 inches. Measure twice, cut once! Wood poles are easier to cut than metal if you are a DIY'er. I like the more heavy duty 12.4 inch bracket model # HD-0495-WT for $6.57 each but there is a 10 inch one that should suffice model # HD-0045-WH at $3.98 each.

I used this heavy duty oak closet pole to hold freshly washed and dried clothes above our washer and dryer in our Lodge style home in WV . I only needed 36 " ( 3 ' ) of the 72 " ( 6 ' ) length but loved the wood look and how it matched with our decor ........So I also used the 96 " ( 8 ' ) length in the double closet in that room . I needed 82 " for that span and did add the additional support of pipe strapping to the 2" x 12" directly above at the halfway point . I love the Oak and the great wood look and that 1 1/4 " diameter sure makes the hangers fit securely .

STICKERS CAME OFF EASY I almost didn`t buy these because a lot of old reviews stated people had a problem with the stickers on these. I know what a pain that can be. After checking them out at the store, I bought 5 of them. They must have changed the sticker, because they came off easily. These are the strongest closet poles I have seen. I would and will recommend these to anyone who needs a new pole. I wish they had other lengths of this same quality. But the price was low enough that I didn`t mind cutting off 2 feet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Drying rack Used two 6 foot closet rods, two shelf brackets which had 2 curly q's, slid the rods thru the curly q's put on end caps, so that the rods wouldn't slide out and now have a12 foot drying rack in the tiny laundry room. Created this to replace the flimsy plastic clothesline that pulls out from its mounting bracket. The clothesline was cheap and flimsy and this is rock solid. Looks like a chin up bar but is a great drying rack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product I searched the Home Depot web site to check the options for my customer. I purchased this product at my local store and was pleasantly surprised on how straight and strong this product was. Also (I know it's just a closet pole) but aesthetically it was a very fine peace of lumber with beautiful grain and free of any knots or other defects.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Closet Rod I bought this closet rod because I needed a strong rod to make several out of. I was able to make 4 smaller rods using a hack saw and with the other 52 inch heavy-duty chrome closet rod I was able to make 2 more. I also bought the chrome rod sockets which hold the rods perfectly. I completed my son's closet and pictures are attached.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Pretty great rid for the price. I'm not big in the wire shelving. For a similar price you can use this with a nice oak or maple shelf on top...classy. I don't recommend anything but plastic hangers though. My wife likes these velvet ones wit wire hooks...awful noise when she moves them across

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Product Needed a nice looking bronze finished pole for closet clothes hanging. This product worked great. Heavy duty. Did not need to add center support. Finish seems thick and adheres well. Nothing has worn off nor has the pole bowed in use. Very pleased with the quality and looks.
