Product Overview

These sheet metal screws, or tapping screws, are highly versatile and are used to attached metal, wood, fiberglass, and plastic. The sharp threads draw material together and ensure a secure hold. Made from hardened steel, the threads create their own mating thread in pre-drilled holes. Sheet metal screws are fully threaded with a sharp point.

Customer Questions & Answers

How can I use these to join 2 flat layers of 18 gage sheet steel? The threads under the head are absent so the joint won't get tight. Screw spins.

The #10 screws in the same style
Asked by: slimjim
You will need to use machine screws with nuts to get it tight with no spin.
