The doorstop is still in great shape but the rubber tips wear out and need to be replaced. Can a replacement of the tip be purchased?

The spring they use to hold it up is not made out of spring steel so it just wears out. I was able to take mine apart by drilling out the rivet. I inverted the non spring steel spring and put it back together. It seems to work. I might get a few months out of it. Cheap, don't waste your money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Everbilt kick down door stop 474 087 Installed eight of these on stainless doors. Complete junk that does not last several only lasted a few weeks.. Now i got holes in all my doors and having problems finding a better one that uses same bolt pattern. Should have done my homework before buying.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk, just as everyone else states. There is no spring steel, so the thing just flops down after about a week of use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Door stops should last for years, not 2 or 3 months! I fully agree with the other comments, but I went a step further: I removed the "spring," and it is NOT spring metal, which is the problem. It is a 1/4" wide by about 1/32" thick piece of aluminum. Since I could bend it by hand I knew it wasn't spring metal. So, how much did the manufacturer save by using aluminum instead of spring metal (steel) - I don't know... maybe $0.02 per unit? I know that this was a little over $6 (with tax), but even at that price it was NO value. Had it lasted a year the value would have been "fair." I would have gladly paid an extra dollar to get a doorstop that lasted 2 years or more.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Manufacturing defect This product would probably work fine if the spring in it was made of spring steel instead of mild steel. Mine only worked correctly for about a week before it started falling down every time the door was closed.
