Rated 1.9 out of 5 by 7 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Replacement Sash Lock This lock was used to replace old equivalent sash locks without any issues. It was not necessary to drill new holes for the screws. Form, fit, and function were maintained. Of all the sash locks advertised, it was the only design that replicated the old sash locks at a reasonable price. October 7, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Broke in two This lock installed easily, but it was slightly shorter than my old lock, so a small gap opened at the top of the window. I dealt with it, but soon after, the lock broke into two pieces. The top piece and the rivet completely fell out of the bottom, so it's just balanced in there. Anyone walking by could push the window open with no problem. Not worth two cents. April 25, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very Low quality Just installed and already failing. I read that this product had probs but I also read that these had been corrected. Maybe we got old stock. In any case, I would not recommend that anyone buy these. February 28, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Design Has Been Improved Follow up to review posted August 4, 2015: According to Home Depot, the manufacturer has redesigned this lock based on consumer feedback. I have installed three of the redesigned locks and have not experienced any problems so far. All of them remained intact during installation, which was a major issue with the previous version. Where Home Depot really deserves an A+ is in customer service. After reading my initial review, someone from the company contacted me to let me know the quality issues were being addressed and that the manufacturer was going back to the drawing board on design. The HD employee also arranged for the manufacturer to send me redesigned locks to replace the problematic ones I purchased. With the redesign, this now seems to be a viable product for those who want the stylish look of a satin nickel window lock without a high cost. November 30, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Quality Per the other review, these locks are cheap and poorly made. One broke the very first time I turned the latch. Another I couldn't install because it was defective. I bought the locks to replace the old hardware on my windows. The hardware they replaced was 40 years old, but still had more durability than these. I recommend only purchasing these locks if you want a low-cost look of satin nickel , but never plan to open your windows and have no need for functionality. August 4, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Critical Defect Needs To Be Fixed I really like these locks and we use them regularly, however about 10-20% of them fail at the rivet which attaches the cam lever. If this weakness was addressed in manufacturing, these would be a fantastic. The finish is actually really nice and the price point is decent. September 17, 2015
