Instructions don't say, yet plastic housing holes assume a given size.

Customer Reviews

Wide Mouth Dryer Vent Hood in Brown is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well I had to replace a broken vent cover. This product worked well. The only think I did not like is the fact there were no mounting screws or clamps with the item.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice vent Not sure what the other reviewer is talking about. There are 4 slots in the vent tubing that engage bump outs in the hood that secure the hood to the vent tube. Even if there weren't, the plastic overlaps the tubing by an inch or so and I don't see how they would jump apart if everything is secured properly. This isn't the most heavy duty plastic hood I've ever seen and I doubt I'd put it somewhere that it's liable to get whacked or bumped into a lot. That said, it's about par for the course for plastic vents I've ever seen. I much prefer this variety to the little plastic "flaps" type that always seem to break or fall off and aren't the slightest bit difficult for a bird or a pest to get through. If I have a complaint at all it's that the pest guard merely slides into slots and relies on a little friction to keep it secured. It isn't going to jump out of there but to keep it a little more secure I drill a small hole in the plastic hood and use a tie wrap to secure the guard. Then if you need to clean it out you just snip off the tie wrap, remove the guard, clean it out and put it all back together.
