can this saw cut tile?

This Rage2 Saw will cut mild steel and anything softer (wood, aluminum, plastics.) If you're looking to cut ceramic tile or concrete, we also have a mason blade that fits this saw: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Evolution-Power-Tools-14-in-Diamond-Masonry-Blade-14BLADEDM/203661867

Can this saw be mounted on the Ryobi Miter Saw Stand

Can this saw be mounted on the Ryobi Miter Saw stand Model A18MS01G Internet #205642391 Store SKU #446334 ? If not this stand can anyone recommend a stand or mounting method? Thanks
Asked by: Jack
I can not answer you question directly because I do not have the Ryobi stand, but will try to give some insight. Typically a miter saw is wider then it is deep (front to back). This saw is deeper then it is wide. Therefore probably will not mount easily... although you could probably add a piece of plywood for a base and adapt the stand to the saw.

Will it cut an 45 angle in 4" square tubing

14 gauge
Asked by: Wilsha
I just measured and the clamp only opens 3.5" when set on a 45° angle. The back stop for the clamp has two positions but if you move it back and try to do a 45 cut, it will not cut all the way through the piece.

Yes, but if you're going to be cutting a lot of rebar or harder steels, it's recommended you use our blade designed for stainless steel

14 in. Multi-Purpose Chop Saw is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 102.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Absolute Junk! The first cut with this saw was magical! It was amazing how effortlessly it cut through the 1/4" angled steel. By the 8th cut it started shooting some sparks and the cut metal looked more and more blue to black in color. The saw stopped cutting completely on my 10 th cut. Packed it up and returned it to the store for a refund. Really hoped it would have worked as advertised. Don't waste your time on this!

I had a abrasive cutoff saw for years. but this new evolution saw cuts much quicker and smoother than the abrasive saw. There are few sparks and the piece does not get hot. I made a 45 degree cut on a 4 inch pipe for a rocket stove I am building with ease. I have cut angle and square tubing with no issues. Nice saw for the money and with a 3 year warranty. I've had this for about a month perfect for the Diyer. You can buy higher price saws but for the money this saw rocks. Just let the saw feed itself and it cuts with ease up to 1/4 inch thick tubing, angle etc. In a pinch you can cut wood but not as smooth as a miter saw.

After several metal projects the saw is cutting very well and I regret not purchasing one years ago. I have officially retired my abrasive wheel chop saw. No more breathable dust and that nasty smell of burning wheel and metal! A roll around magnetic broom makes cleanup a breeze after use.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good buy I bought this saw to use at home in my small little shop for odds and ends Fab projects and so far I am happy with this purchase. This is definitely 200 dollar saw but for my needs it does the job well. The graduations for the angles are a bit tough to get right on without a square or protractor but once you have them set it cuts well. I wish the clamp had a quick release adjuster and the back stop for the angles was to but for the price this a good saw and works well

Rated 4 out of 5 by from very nice saw the evolution saw is everything it says it is. the cuts are smooth and clean,my test cut was 2 1/2" C channel then 5" off a 20' 3x3x3/16 beam. again a smooth cut.the tool needs a positive lock at 45 degrees, when the vise is tightened, the the setting moves. the pipe attachment for the vise is a nice touch. so far no complaints.i will drill and pin the 45 degree angle so it doesn't move when tightened. overall very nice.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from 14" multi-purpose rattle trap chop saw When the package arrived i picked it up to carry it inside. There was so much rattling going on inside the box that I thought the saw was damaged. The box showed no sign of abuse. The solid foam packing showed no sign of damage. The rattle was the two piece guard. I don't know if there is stuff missing, but the guard is only held in place by sitting on the shaft and two small springs. With the blade in the down position and locked, there is very sloppy tolerances in the guards with front to back, and side to side movements. The blade has not made contact with the guard [ yet ]. The motor sounds terrible. I have and have had many tools that have electric motors. This motor is the worst sounding motor I have ever owned. The saw does cut good. I've made several square cuts with it and they came out nice. The blade cuts good. It doesn't throw sparks but it sure throws chips.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cutting metal I've only used to cut 2"x2"x1/8" angle iron and 2"x1/8" flat steel. It cuts well, without excessive sparking. Looking forward to using on wood next. I wish the clamp plates were not rounded at the 90 degree clamp spots on the horizontal base plate because thinner metal tries to go under the clamp plates when tightening. Overall, I really like the saw!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Arrived beat up everytime I ordered from the blue store twice and it was beat up both times. Tried here and same thing. Saw is loose but gets the job done. Clean enough cuts for me. Shipper or manufacturer needs to work on QC.
