Product Overview

Customer Reviews

15-Amp 7-1/4 in. Multi-Purpose Circular Saw is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from ok for small jobs, was looking for something better I bought this saw and a few different blades for a re-sizing of a metal building. It looked impressive when I got it, but was slightly disappointed after using it a while. It does cut metal, but the quality was below what I expected for a metal saw. Examples: The base was made of a metal that would be fine for a wood saw, but lacked strength for a metal saw. The base height adjustment lock again would be find for a wood saw, but again, not hearty enough for metal. Metal vibrates at time enough to release the clamp lock in the middle of a cut. The safety guard has no lock method for plunge, or odd angle cuts. The base (again) has no 90 degree lock; you have to get and angle out and lock it on the correct right angle. It also has a tendency to loosen while in the middle of a cut. The shark fin trailing guide had to be removed because it would catch on deeper cut as you were cutting, and also quickly became unaligned with the blade. For small jobs, I recommend this saw, but not for large ones. I went through 4 different blades. The Evo blades seem better than the Diablo (thinner for easier cutting. I wish a guide board could be used on either side, or both sides. I had problems keeping the corrugated metal from binding on the blade after the cut. Bright side: Their customer support is great. I think it is an American company. I am now looking into the heavier model. I still give the saw a decent rating because for what I did to the poor thing, it still seems to run ok.
