I work at The Home Depot #6534 in Appliances and we had a display of the Ewave for $28. After reading and looking at comparable units I bought one yesterday and cooked chicken breasts, potatoes, carrots with a bit sauce on all. The manual is not real detailed about how to cook this item nor is it clear just how long to cook. I took a guess and set the timer for 25 minutes at a temp of 400 degrees. Using a meat thermometer showing it was 120 degrees. Reset the timer for 10 minutes and it was done. Veggies were not soft enough. Chicken was browned and tender. Going to experiment more with other dishes. Over all satisfied with the cooking. No hot kitchen.
Pros: Price, quality, energy saving, quickness of cooking, easy to operate, ring to increase to 4+ gallons.
Cons: Bowl is VERY heavy, manual is lacking details on cooking, no recipes,

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Veden5683 I love my ewave!
I got rid of my microwave years ago, but recently considered getting another one because I started working and my daughter, even though she was use to heating everything on or in the stove, I felt because of her handicap that it would be easier for her to use a microwave. So I agonized for months about it, for many reasons, one being it does not brown the food, until the other day at work, I saw this the ewave....a convection oven for $28. I bought it and the very first night cooked chicken breasts in Italian dressing in 20 minutes and browned. The next night I heated up food in it....stone cold to hot within minutes! I am so happy I found this item! Even my daughter can use it.
On the cons page, I had to put something.....so I put size....but it is no bigger than a microwave.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Gerb eWAVE: Awesome Convection Cooker at Super Price
This cooker is quick and efficient...a lot better than anything in the oven and as good as cooking on the grill except ALOT faster...check out my Tri Tip pictures. I have cooked chicken wings and Korean BBQ ribs as well...all the fat drips to the bottom but the meat is always juicy...unbelievable product esp for the price...only $38 (I got on sale for $28)...believe the nuWAVE on TV is 3 to 4 times more but don't know how it could be any better.

Reheated foods are crisp and lower in fat. This oven is fantastic for breaded foods like hot wings or pork chops. Makes the BEST broasted chicken ever! Cook a whole bird or just a few pieces at a time.
Cleaning of the durable glass bowl is very easy in the sink or dishwasher and here are two bonus features that aren't mentioned anywhere... Because this unit cooks with the halogen light you can see the food clearly while it heats and when the kitchen goes dark you know it's time to eat even if you didn't hear the timer!
We've owned one version or another of this product for more than 10 years. Most days it's used more than once or twice. Life just wouldn't be as good without our turbo-convection oven.

After seeing this seasonal item go on sales multiple times at Home Depot, I finally caved and purchased one to give it a shot. After getting it home I was surprised how large the bowl was. I was expecting a small size bowl packed in layers of foam to hide its size. Not the case the bowl was huge and can not fit in any of my cabinets or shelves. When thinking about the Thanksgiving dinner I cooked last year, I could easily have prepared a turkey or my stuffing in this appliance.
I also purchased a replacement plan for $7. If the glass bowl or any other feature of this oven breaks I get my money back. I highly recommend getting the protection plan on any item you purchase. Home Depot is one of the only companies that will honor their warranties because they have a goal to be number one in customer satisfaction so take advantage of this fact.
I read the ENTIRE manual. I was afraid of some how messing it up. It suggests to clean it before the first use, to preheat for three minutes before the first use (to burn off any packaging residue), and to not share an outlet with any other appliance. I found those things to be the some the most interesting facts in the manual. It recommended using a lower temperate and about 10 minutes less of cooking time. I used my better judgement when cooking things not listed in the manual. And it's easy to keep an eye on your meal through the glass bowl.
The Thaw/Wash feature is the greatest thing about this machine. I had a package of meat that went from a solid rock to 100% thawed in less than ten minutes. It did not cook the sausages and all the meat juice drips off. Better than using a microwave that might cook your meat instead of thawing it and better than letting it sit in the sink for possibly hours. After my meat thawed I simply cleaned out the bottom of the bowl and began to prepare the rest of my meal.
After the machine does it's business it dings and goes off which is great. I always seem to be on the other side of the house when the timer on the oven goes off and then I'm scrambling to get my what ever out of the oven before it burns.
I baked potatoes and it truly was quicker than a traditional oven or microwave. There was no preheating and it baked in the listed time and they came out soft and cooked throughout.
I toasted bread in the oven and it came out like a crisp Italian specialty. I was shocked at how well it worked. It also provides tongs to remove the contents and racking.
The only thing I don't like is removing the lid. It's a little heavy and I'm afraid of one day burning myself and dropping it. I'm also weary of where to put it when I take it off. I have cheap countertops and I'm sure it would scorch the surface if I placed it on there directly. So I always set it on a dish rag to be safe. Other than that it's easy to clean and operate and I see it coming in very handy during holidays or when I need to prepare two baked dishes at different temperatures. It also started to make a strangle quiet whistle noise while it was on. It stops if you touch the top of the machine and starts again if you lift your hand off. I can't figure out how or why it's doing that or how to stop it. I assume it's one of the little heating coils moving or squeaking it's very low and you can only hear it if you listen closely. Other than that I love love love it.
