My dehydrator is as loud as a room air purifier. Don't really notice it.

Customer Reviews

9-Tray Food Dehydrator is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 34.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have had a 9 drawer Excalibur for about 20yrs. I bought the new one as I am going to increase my volume of dehydrating. obviously I have been well satisfied with the one I have as it is still working good. One of the reasons I am continuing with the same type is you are still offering the manual control models. The digital appliances are almost throwaways if you have any problems our to expensive to repair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good product I made beef jerky and it turned out great. Easy to use, like the temperature dial with suggested foods/ per temp setting. The timer is nice also, so it turns off before your food gets too dry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Product, use it weekly! I've had this model for just over a year, and I love it. I'm a 23 year-old male living alone, and I have trouble eating all my fruit before it gets too ripe, but I just smash it, or blend it, or chop it and toss it in my dehydrator for a few hours and BOOM, snacks for work. Love it. I'd recommend Excalibur to anyone looking for a good dehydrator. One thing that could be improved, since there is always something, I wish the trays were a little sturdier, you have to be careful when they are fully loaded with heavy fruits like pineapple.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Caution I bought a 3000 series quite a while back like 10 years ago or more, I am not knocking this one down but look out they do break. I was just making jerky and as I was putting in a tray I just happened to miss track on of the trays and thats when I noticed it was broke on the bottom which I will fix when I am done with my jerky, it just has a crack below the door no big deal but if you can afford it buy the stainless one you will be glad you did. I am going to buy one of the stainless ones because I make a lot of jerky. I really don't think there is a better dehydrator out there I used to have a Nesco but in my book it is no good it is round, how can you make jerky on a round dehydrator.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality I was excited to get this unit when I ordered it based on the reviews, the reviews were awesome. However when it arrived there were loose screws and washers rattling in the all plastic housing. It appears that the holes are stripped out and why the loose screws fell out, most likely during shipping. Stripping is normally caused by over tightening the fastener in the brittle plastic housing. For the money spent vs the quality received, I would look elsewhere, this thing is built cheaply, the inside fan is cheap plastic, the heating element is cheap the knobs pop off.
