I purchased this because I wanted something to keep the squirrels out of my Rubbermaid trash can (that they chewed a hole in the top of to get into) without poisons or other chemicals. This works PERFECTLY!!! The squirrels still come up onto my deck and jump ONTO the cans every once in a while, but as soon as the vibration and buzzing comes on (every 29 seconds), they run away. They haven't been in my trash since! GREAT VALUE!!! Also, it is loud enough for the animals, but not loud enough for people enjoying the deck/backyard to really hear it. We only notice it if we are TRYING to hear it and, even then, we have to be right next to it (to make sure the batteries are still fresh).

I bought one of these and it didn't do the job and only lasted two months. No results at all. The pinwheel windmills are as effective if not better. They are a lot cheaper too. Maybe if it had lasted longer it would have got a little results. I will not waste more money to find out.

READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. The key to success is using a loe or rake handle to make a hole slightly larger than this wonderful tool. Make sure it inserts in the ground easily so you don't have to exert pressure on the tip. Our bird feeders attracted grubs, the grubs attracted moles, and the "mole mover" sent them on their way. Use alkaline batteries, ONLY. NO MOLES in our yard now. i can heartily recommend this device.

I followed the instructions, but after about 4.5 months the first one is no longer working. Found out that the cannister is not functional, the top seems to be doing its job. It is rated for new batteries at about 18 months... not too impressive.

Moles are hardy creatures that you either need to eradicate or leave alone and enjoy the destruction of your yard.
I purchased two (2) of the Gopher and Molemover in the hopes that the current inhabitant(s) of my yard would move on. Reading the instructions (they do say to expect increased activity for 2-3 weeks after installing the device) I was prepared for the increased activity. Now that four (4) weeks have passed and the little critter(s?) are still very much active I to say that the devices do not work as advertised.
In addition, I have a very small yard (maybe 30'x30') and planted the two devices on the corners of the square opposite each other to provide the most coverage. The moles are making a mockery of the "mole mover" by creating mountains out of their molehills. The device looks neat, the LED lights up and it makes a noise - all as advertised. The problem is that it doesn't get rid of the moles.

Moles and ground varmints are causing my yard to move down hill. This seams to have slowed down the top tunnels in my yard. Will find out if they have moved on next spring.

This unit worked for me. I will buy another one to cover more lawn area. It took about a month, but no new mounds in the covered area. All the other stuff, works short term, gas, traps, spray etc, but they keep coming back. Not so with this device. Thanks Mole Mover you saved my Lawn!!!

A little tricky to sink into the ground, but they really do work well.
