They are made of a light gauge metal, bend easily which I suppose is helpful for countersinking the screws in the sheetrock so they don't get in the way of the trim. Still a very good idea to shim the doorframe also, as these are too flexible to be relied upon themselves. Still very handy on the install, made hanging doors a one-man job

The hangers are easy to use. I still use a 4 foot level to draw reference marks on both uprights to ensure the door is level. You don't have to use shims, but if replace a hinges screw with larger screw a shim behind the hinge realy helps.

I agree with most of the positive reviews on this product. It makes it much easier to hang a door and make sure it's plumb. It does have one limitation -- it's hard to use on a split-jamb door. If yours are like the ones I hung in our old house, it's almost impossible to remove the pre-attached door frame without damaging the wood. If you're hanging pre-hung doors without the outside trim, however, it's a great product.
In some cases it is a little hard to keep the bracket in the correct position and still drive the screws to attach it. You might need an extra hand, or maybe some masking tape to keep it in place.
I recommend that you also follow the advice to put a long screw through the top and middle hinges if you have heavy doors. If the doors are usually in the open position, the weight of the door can slowly bend the mounting hardware and the upper part of the door frame can get out of line with the plane of the wall. I also recommend that you follow some of the reviewers' advice to use the brackets on the inside and outside of the door frame, not just on one side. (To make this clear, picture standing with your back to the hinge side of the frame. Put brackets on the left and right sides of the frame that your back is against, and on the left and right sides of the frame that you are facing.) If you do these two things, your door should be just about perfect.
The only reason I didn't give this product a five-star rating is those two recommendations which, I think, ought to be standard procedure.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by lbh The only way for a novice to hang a door!
I had to install 7 split jamb doors in my house and had never hung a door. I watched all the videos on how to do this and decide to try the Quick Door Hanger. It was a cinch to make the door perfectly level and to get the reveal lined up perfectly. And if it wasn't perfect, you could simply loosen the screws and adjust it again. You can't do that nailing up a pre-hung door.
The only drawback was I had to remove the pre-installed trim on the hinge side of the door. If you're a pro and trust yourself to nail up the split case level, this is an unnecessary waste of 15 minutes.. But if you're a novice like me, the ability to adjust the door frame out weighs the extra time.

My husband and I (handy but inexperienced) installed a house full of doors 12 years ago using shims and it was a nightmare. They never did all latch and swing right, screw holes were a pain to fill, etc. I just finished a house full of doors using these hangers and it was soooo easy. I did it by myself and has absolutely no problems. Even a double door was simple to level and hang. You won't be disappointed.

I have been in the construction field for over 10 years and have hung quit a few pre-hung doors during that time. I have seen these clips around for a while but i never pulled the trigger. I decided to try them out on this renovation Im working on now since I had 22 doors to hang. This product made it super easy. I was able to hang all the doors by myself in one day while my guys tiled and it was an absolute pleasure. Not only did they work as advertised but adjusting the doors was super easy just back off the screws move the door jamb and re-tighten. I used maybe 3 shims on the whole job. Not to mention that I didn't have to whip out the air compressor and trip over the air hose all day long. Just an impact driver a tool belt and a 6' level. I would say that if you have even one door to hang these things are worth it. If you have a bunch to hang then its a no brainer.

The product makes mounting a door properly resulting in a more professional result. I would like to see hardcopy directions but the online offerings are very good.
