Rated 3.7 out of 5 by 15 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Solid Mat. I would recommend Titan Tile Rubber Tile Flooring. These mats are heavier then I thought they would be, which is nice because they are not flimsy. They come in the box ready to assemble, with edges and all. They are made of 99 percent recycled material, I always like that. They have a ruff and a smooth side, so they can be used either way. The one box makes up about the size of two regular floor mats. I used this right out side my back door, in the garage with the ruff side up. I think it will work good there for wet and dirty shoes. Stain resistant and easy to clean with a rag. I am happy with the tiles. If you do want to use them for larger spaces it will take several boxes. They go together very easy and the seams don't show once together. December 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for the home gym These tiles were very easy to put together, and once assembled, are seamless. The texture was not quite what I expected (I expected more of a matte black finish; these are more textured and scintillating). They were not as squishy as I thought they would be, either. In fact, they are quite solid--like tire tread. I originally purchased these to use as an anti-fatigue mat under my standing desk, however, because they weren't as squishy as I thought they would have been, I instead I brought them into the home gym. I have been using an old carpet under the weights to protect the flooring, but the Titan Tiles give me much more ease of mind in regards to potentially dropping weights. The rubber tiles seem to absorb quite a bit of force, and I don't have to worry about dropping things and breaking the floor (or the things which I drop). A great replacement to the carpet. I plan on purchasing more of these for the work area in the garage to ease the clanking of dropping tools and supplies on the cement slab. I would recommend this for use in home gyms, garages, shops, or other work areas prone to dropping things, as it protects both the floor and the things. The flooring is easy to clean by vacuuming or wiping down with a moist cloth. December 28, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Tough and durable rubber flooring I like these tiles. They're only 0.25" gauge (thickness), but they're good quality rubber and don't dent when equipment is put on them. They definitely smell strongly of rubber even after you've aired them out (per the instructions on the box), but hopefully the smell will dissipate over time. I really had to work to assemble 14.3 sq ft ( one box and that includes the edges), but the finger pain was worth it. These tiles lock together tightly (it looks seamless) so they won't detach when doing high impact exercises. There was only one edge piece that didn't fit perfectly (was off by 1/32"), but it's fine for my application. Most of my home gym is foam flooring which is significantly less expensive than rubber. Unlike the foam tiles though, the Titan rubber tiles have great traction (not slippery), they stay together better during high impact workouts, and equipment/weights don't leave dents. Since I can't afford to do our entire workout area with rubber tiles, I was hoping to put rubber tiles under the treadmill and perhaps the elliptical. Unfortunately, one package isn't enough for a treadmill or elliptical (fully assembled one box is 54.25" x 38"). It's even too small for the full length of my bench so I'll be using this set for high impact workouts until I can save to buy more. December 27, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good Product For Certain Applications I was looking for a comfortable floor covering to stand on for long periods of time, and that would wear well in a shop environment, and came upon these interlocking tiles as a potential solution. I thought that since they are individual tiles, they could be easily configured for a more “custom” fit, for example around protruding base cabinets (see picture). To a degree these tiles might be customized to fit something other than a “square” area. The large tiles readily snap together, but the finish edges won’t precisely fit inside corners (see picture). Therefore in order to configure them, you will need to be very proficient at cutting heavy rubber material into precise shapes (i.e., a "jig saw pattern") with a sharp utility knife – not something I can do. Also, there is not enough “edge” tile in the standard box, to accommodate a different form. So I am left with an unfinished edge for my workbench mat, unless I choose get another full box to gain a few small pieces for my application. I think this product is really intended to be used for a physical work-out area, more than it is for most other applications because it does sport a nice comfortable, nonslip surface to do floor exercises and/or handle the beating of gym equipment. Because the edges have a small ¼” lip, it would probably NOT work as well in a hall or kitchen setting, where moderate foot traffic could be expected, although it might work well in a wall-to-wall application using a room-entry threshold. I let the tiles sit for a few days before installing them. They came together pretty easily, though I did not use a rubber hammer to install them – I got down on my knees and coaxed them together with my bare hands -- rather easy. A couple areas protrude some (see picture), but I think over time, with foot traffic they will behave better. I enjoy standing on these tiles much more than the cement floor and because my garage shop area is not intended to be a showroom, I am satisfied with the result. Others may not be so content with the unfinished look. The surface has a nice slip resistant texture that I would guess to be water-resistant (although I have not tested that feature). The solid black color is likely to show dust and dirt more readily than a mottled color finish, but that is less of a concern to me using the tiles as a workshop mat where everything gets dusty anyway. Assuming most consumers expect a finished look, I would recommend these tiles only for square floor configurations. December 26, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Flooring tile Great product shipped quickly. Only draw back is all the waisted product of the little pieces. Wish you could purchase the edge pieces seperately. May 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for Crawl space We made great use of the Titan Rubber Tile Flooring in our crawl space. Since crawling around in the area is never any fun these have made it a little more tolerable. These tiles connect and go into place very easily. They offer great padding to any area you may need them. These are great for home gyms or in a garage or any place you may be standing a lot. Also, a great idea to use where the kids play so you can reduce the impact on the floor. January 5, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointment I would never recommend this product. I was told they would be not be the same in color because of the white wall tires or the blue on the tires, but the texture was very unbecoming. Looked awful and I was so disappointed. I am in the process of having the store pick up all of these tiles because I am unable to physically return all of them. I was so looking forward to having my patio floor covered and had the tiles all had the same texture, it maybe could have worked, but disappointment covers my opinion. May 13, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by The house smells like rubber I bought these for a home gym in my basement. The 1/4" of rubber seems like enough to protect the floor from a falling weight. They're not as cushy as some of the other options, but these are a lot more durable. They're also cat-friendly, whereas the foam options would most certainly be scratched on. The only problem is the smell. The odor is very strong and it fills the house. I want to keep them, so I've tried fans/open window (effective but temporary), vinegar (no effect), and fabreze (effective but temporary). Next, I'm going to try pine-sol, but I doubt it will work. Another solution I've read about is simple green, but I don't think it will be much different from the pine-sol. My final solution is going to be hauling them outside to bake in the sun. UV light weathers rubber, and the heat should help too. Unfortunately, it's cloudy and cold outside so a couple days under my halogen shop light may have to suffice. March 18, 2015
