Customer Questions & Answers

Would this work for dwarf Nigerian goats?

Asked by: sc
Yes, I use it with my Nigerians. They will like to rub on it so make sure you have the post spacing for that. -wb

size of "holes"

I am looking to fence a yard to keep large dogs in and javalina out. Want the 2 inch wide by 4 inch holes in the fence - the description says that - but the picture is more like squares of 4 inch? which is correct the description or the picture?
Asked by: DIANA
The openings in this fencing are 2 inch wide by 4 inch tall. Other than the prospect of a dog climbing over, it would be sufficient for keeping large dogs in while even half inch mesh fencing doesn't work against such rodents as the chipmunks who plague my plantings.

How much

How much of this fencing would I need if I where to make a 4 acre pen.
Asked by: Amanda
An acre is 43,560 square feet so you're talking about an area of 174,240 square feet. The square root of that area is 417.421 feet which suggests that each of the four sides of the pen you intend to build is that length and that the total perimeter would be 1,670 feet. Allowing for previously extant chain link on portions of the roughly four acre site on which I recently completed building such fencing, that sounds to me like the correct answer as to amount needed. There would be some overlap desirable at the end of each 100 foot roll, so my best estimate is that you would need 17 rolls of this material to make your four acre pen along with T-Posts at appropriate intervals to which to attach it. In my situation, the nature of the trespassers into my property required me to have my T-Posts set at 26" on center because that is slightly less than the width of the dirt bikes which typically smash down fencing in my geography but of course you would determine that spacing based on your own real world situation. Although ten foot centers are common for chain link, I would suggest nothing more than five foot centers for your project.

60 in. x 100 ft. Horse Fence with Galvanized Steel Class 1 Coating is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 9.

This is a product that I have used in previous years to reduce criminal trespass into my property. My latest purchase of seven rolls was to fortify a long area of the perimeter which had previously been suffering smash downs of the 30 inch tall "hi I'm a fence" by trespassers who have no respect for the property rights of "others" including myself. Areas where I installed this product previously have been substantially less intruded upon. While *anything* can be smashed down or cut, this product is substantially less prone to such criminal intrusions and I am optimistic it may function satisfactorily for my purpose of protecting my property.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great fence for horses This fence is the only fence I know of that will not hurt your horses.I had my stallion bust true it to get to a mare in heat and did not get a scratch. It's also very economical considering you can do 10' runs and use t stakes so not to use much lumber.I had this for over 6 years and eventually it starts rusting but it does not break down.I like to move the entire pasture after 6 years or so anyway.Easy to install and if your horses are not challenging fences you can do a remarkably flimsy job installing it roll it up after a few years and re install in different location.Another good thing it it keeps children and dogs out.I have been known to go as far as 25' between 4 x4's and just t stakes every 8'

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Should be labeled Factory Seconds, maybe Thirds Chose this product over the other guys store which was priced $35 more per roll. Installed fence on 1 1/2 pipe upright and top rails. Wire appeared to be mishandled at some point and it was difficult to find 3 straight rolls of the 7 available at the local store. You can not have this product tight and straight at the same time. The tensioner at the factory is likely out of adjustment as the edge wire is loose on all runs. In order to achieve equal tension on all wires it was necessary to pull the edge wires 2 more inches over a 60 foot run of fence. This causes all the vertical wires to lean and are one full division off by the end of the run. Ruins the appearance of the fence. Additionally, one roll had the bottom 12.5 gage wire crimped so tight that is broke at both ends of the run during tie off. This wire had to be spliced to finish the installation. Chose Made in USA but got Chinese quality anyway. Next time I will give up the $35 in the hope of getting a better product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quaity wire This is a quality heavy-duty wire fence with good flexibility (not being welded) around changing slopes. It is heavy, but still fairly easy to work with. I used it to fence in an area for our dogs. Ordered it online and picked it up at the store days before predicted. It only took 30 minutes and five different staff and it was in my vehicle and I was on my way!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This product is newly installed, so I will have to see how it holds up with my horses. Fencing was quick and easy to install. Just make sure you have the appropriate equipment for the installation.
