A solid, Good tape measure - However I found the lock difficult to engage (especially with gloves), the belt clip was loose on just about everything I clipped it to, and the thing is about twice as heavy as other tape measures.
Blade is great - very readable, accurate, strong, extends out very far when singlehandedly measuring something over 10' long. However, for $25 - I would buy 3 cheaper tape measures and not be so worried about breaking them, as this one seems to be less convenient.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by framersrule Haven't found anything that measures up!!!
This measuring tape is a good size to work with. The numbers are easy to read and the stand out on the blade is great. I have had several of these and you get what you pay for. The tapes are accurate and the hooks, on tapes I have had, never get bent like they do on the cheaper tapes. Why would you by 3 cheap tapes when one great tape will do you?

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bluecoyote The Fat Max Line is tops!
I love this tape measure and like most of the Fat Max line from Stanley is really well designed and good quality. I have used this on two jobs and it has really taken a beating. Still looks as good as the day I bought it and works just as well. I usually break the tape long before a job is finished ... but not this one!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by bokie Quality tape with smooth action
This tape measure works well. It locks easily and dependably and the tape holds straight fairly well without bending or kinking all the time. Smooth retracting action makes it a hassle free tool.

This tape measure appears to be very tough and durable. It also has inches and centimeters. You should always have both in case you need them.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Chazoo Ridiculous housing size makes measurements difficult - Stupid product design!
Why oh why make the housing length 3-1/8"? Why not use some careful product design and make it an even 3"? When measuring against a wall, with case flush against the wall, you have to add the case length. It would have made the math so much simpler to make it an even 3". There seems to be plenty of extra length in the case to accommodate a 1/8" reduction in length. It would have just taken a little common sense.
I'm not recommending this tape measure, because it reflects a flawed product design process, where the consumer/tradesman is not taken into consideration. I can't recommend a product that shows no imagination in its basic design.
Rugged construction - nice. Pain-in-the-butt factor for inconvenient case length makes this tape measure a two-star "fair" product and a looser in my book. Not recommended.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Matt 2 for $13
I got this in a 2 pack. they were selling single packs for $12 and 2 packs for $13, no brainer. I live in a townhouse with 4 floors and was constantly running up and down the stairs to get the tape measure. Now i just keep one stowed away on every floor
