Customer Questions & Answers

It will not go to one of the zones

I have had the unit for many years and lately it has stop going to one of the zones. I used to keep it greased, but I have since removed all grease and it still does not work. It is the 4 zone unit, but I'm running it with a 3 zone cam installed. I have taken it apart many times and everything looks good. Do you have any ideas? The parts do not look worn or broken.

I would contact the manufacturer. Their number is 561-624-3308. They were great at diagnosing and fixing my problem (which turned out to not even be a problem with the Fimco valve but rather a bad check valve)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Consider adding the Zone Indicator I purchased this as a replacement for an old FIMCO valve that had seen many years of reliable use. This time I added the Zone Indicator which allows me to set the valve to any desired zone. This makes it much more convenient when I have to replace a sprinkler or do other work on my 3 zone system (don't have to cycle the pump on and off to get to a desired zone). I had questions regarding the Zone Indicator and the FIMCO people were very helpful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sprinkler is back working like a charm The valve is very simple and works great. The hardest part is to cut all the zone lines to the exact size to be able to fit them in and glue them. After that it's very easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from update to previous review Shortly after posting my product review, I contacted the MFR of this product via their website; this occurred prior to my review posting on the HD website. I was surprised to receive a call from one of the owners of the company, on a Sat. afternoon. We discussed possible causes for the problems I was having with the three valves purchased. He personally brought replacement parts to my home and assisted in diagnosing the problem, which was too much pressure being run through the valve; causing significant zone bleed. Rather than telling me that I had messed up by installing too strong of a pump for what I was watering; he created a special plunger assembly to accommodate the higher pressure of my system. It worked great and now, so far, there is no zone bleed at all. So as it turns out, although there were mechanical issues with 2 of the previous valves, the real problem was my over engineering the system. I have to say that this company went far beyond any reasonable persons definition of "customer service". Not only will I not hesitate to purchase and recommend their products; I feel certain that if there is a manufacturing defect; this company will do whatever is required to make sure that their customer is taken care of and happy. Kudos to them... remarkable customer service !!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It Needed to Be Replaced This is the 3rd replacement in 19 years, but I have been able to keep the original bottom part of the unit after almost two decades without having to have cut new PVC 1 1/2" pipes. The top may spring pinhole leaks after a number of years, but South Florida sunshine may have a lot to do with this degradation. I'm going to fashion a sun-shield this time and see if it fares any better. I only use two zones incidentally, front and back yards.
