Can I store it after partial use?

If I don't use all the foam in one application, can I continue later? What would be a reasonable storage period in this case? Thanks.
Asked by: Monty
Yes, the kit can be used after a partial use. The used nozzle should be left on the gun hose assembly and the valves closed on the kit. When ready to re-use, open the valves and remove the old nozzle, purge the lines into a plastic bag or box and insert a new nozzle onto the dispenser. The complete instructions are also located inside the kits for reference.

I plan on spraying rim joists in the basement. And will be covering with plywood. Is this OK?

Why does it have to be covered in 15 minutes? I obviously can't cover all joists in 15.
Asked by: Dmchappy
A 15-minute thermal barrier is a phrase used to describe a material of a given thickness that can withstand 15 minutes of exposure to a fire source generated by the ASTM E119 fire test specification. A 1/2 inch thickness of gypsum drywall or 7/16 inch plywood are accepted 15-minute thermal barriers. If you are using the FROTH-PAK(TM) 200 Foam Sealant, you can picture-frame around the edges of the rim or band joists, however if you would like to insulate the joist, we would recommend using the FROTH-PAK(TM) 210 Foam Insulation instead, which can be sprayed up to 2 inches thick in the joist before a 15-minute thermal barrier is required. 7/16 inch plywood would work as a covering for a thicker layer than this. The sealant is unfortunately not approve for fully spraying in the joists, regardless of the thickness.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good enough to insulate my Sill Plate! I needed to insulate my sill plate. It was easy to install. Be sure to use a drop-cloth. You will drip, but this is not unexpected. Home is better sealed and warmer. Mission accomplished!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Froth pak 200 Used to seal up the rim joist in the basement. I have 1000 sq ft house with about 130ft of joist. I had plenty of product and actually went around a couple times. I plan on putting batts in over it so I only sprayed a couple inches on. If you follow the directions carefully and watch a YouTube video so you prepare your work area properly, I don't see how you will have any problems.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Thought 1 pack was a stretch but bought 3 I thought I may be able to complete my job with 1 froth pak conservatively, ended up buying 3. Finished 3 rim joist spaces short. I have under 200' of 12" rim joist in a 2100 sq ft home. Very expensive and messy. Would never use this again and would hire a pro. I had no problems with the consistency of the product but still will not recommend to anyone. I think I could have had this job done by a pro for same or less.
