Answer:
The red light is an indicator there is a problem with the unit. The heater has a auto reset limit and a thermal limit (one shot) for back up. Most likely the thermal limit has tripped usually caused by reduced air flow through the unit. You can replace the thermal fuse.

Answer:
The red light comes on when the unit overheats. It usually says to turn the breaker off, and wait awhile and then try it again. However, being 12 years old, and possibly overheating, you may want to look into a new one, if, as you said the wiring is good. Could be a problem with the unit.

Answer:
Hello Valentine,
The red light is usually an indicator that the heater is suffering conditions causing it to overheat. Overheating can be caused by simple things like blockage around the fan or possibly even a problem with the wiring. In this case it is recommended that you have an electrician or repair service come out and check the unit. I hope this helps.
Cheers,
Chris

Answer:
The thermostat is either stuck in the closed position or extremely out of calibration. In either case the thermostat wouldneed to be replaced. The warranty for that heater is one year on all parts and five years on the element. You should contact Fahrenheat at 1-800-642-4328 to obtain parts.

Answer:
The question is a little harder to answer than how much space will it heat. Assuming you have a well insulated space with minimal windows and they are also insulated the heater would cover 1200 cubic feet. Or basically a 10 x 15 x 8 area.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not Reliable Nice size heater that works well in the bathroom. But, we've had to replace the $30 thermostat every year for the last three years. March 31, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Missing Major Parts We bought this heater in the store and went we opened it up, we found that the steel mounting "back box" and the plastic knob were missing. The instruction sheet does not include a bill of materials, so it is actually a little difficult to determine what is supposed to be in the box. But all of the pictures and instructions refer to a specially-designed back box, and the pictures clearly show a knob on the shaft of the thermostat controller. The box was not sealed in any way. We'll be returning this unit tomorrow. November 2, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Unit - Easy Install - Works Great I bought this for my daughter's house about 1 year ago, to replace an old one in the kitchen. Wired up for 220. The fan unit runs quiet and plenty of heat for a small area. Installation was quick and easy for me. I have it working off of a thermostat. 2 Winters later, still working nice. February 8, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Very easy to install and works perfect. We bought it for our master bathroom and mounted it under my brides makeup counter low enough to not be dangerous. We also put it on a switch. December 1, 2013
