how many btu do I need to heat a 250 sq ft bedroom ? I want to go basebord 220 volt

Asked by: Gcleveland
To figure the amount of heat needed in a space use 10 watts per square foot. This calculation is for a well insulated space with standard ceiling heights. So you would need 2500 watts to heat the 250 sq.ft room. The heater you selected is 1250 watts, half of what you would need.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good product This is the 3rd one of these baseboard heaters I've bought to replace the old, dry type heater original to this 40 year old town house. There definitely is an improved comfort issue with hydronic heaters.as they provide a more level output between cycles of the thermostat. I had occasion to call the mfgr, Marley Prods, and help is readily available and useful. I will definitely buy more of these. Plus, HD is very good on returns policy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from third one I've purchased We keep coming back because we are satisfied. The heaters heat. (I've had some that don't!) They are quiet. They are easy to install and the instructions are detailed as far as specs etc.
