Answer:
Bill, this is a 2000 watt, 240 volt wall mounted fan forced unit that has a touch screen for controls and read out. It offers you 5/2 day programability with 4 settings each day. It is designed to operate with proportional heat output meaning it will only use the amount of heat needed to heat the room, reducingthe wattage from the maximum of 2000 watts down to 200 watts as needed.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 2.0 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good little heater I installed this in my foyer so as people enter the house in the winter there is warm air blowing. It works very well in that regard. The foyer is about 9' by 12' and is open to the main floor above by a staircase. The heater performed well even in the coldest weather. Since a lot of the heat this generates rises to the main living area it has to "keep up", and It does. The programming is definitely a bit touchy and not completely intuiative that is true. I just keep it on "lock" and adjust the heat manually instead of trying to program it. I like the fact that the fan runs all the time and throttles back automatically when the temperature is reached. Some say it is loud, mine isn't. I can hear it faintly from upstairs when the fan is on high speed but when it is low you don't notice it so no issues there. Installation was a snap, yet I am a pro so if you are a beginner you may want to get some advice or help. The front grid is plastic that is true, however the exhaust area is metal covered in some sort of epoxy paint so no worries about heating plastic. It did smell quite a bit the first couple of days but after that no smell. So far it has been running about 6 weeks and no issues that would cause me to give it a bad score. I rated it a 4 simply because the programming is complicated. Even so it is not impossible, just get your 16-year-old to set it up if you can't figure it out. March 6, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Hard to program - and forgets it easily Installed two of these in a large basement office. Very difficult to program in terms of time it takes, due to bad user interface. But the bigger problem is that the unit appears to forget its programming very easily if it gets power fluctuations or even temporary outages, requiring that they be set up again - and again - and again... Have come down to office many times only to see the units on (when we didn't want heat) or off (when we did). These units look good and they do produce nice, reasonably quiet heat. But for the money spent they are far from worth it. Definitely not a great product compared to other options due to these programming issues. November 18, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Junk Heater I bought this last February to replace an outdated heater in my garage. I wanted a thermostatically controlled upgrade. Installed it and used it for about 2 months and then did not need it as spring was here. This weekend I went to turn it on and no display. Checked power going into the display and it had power. Glad it wasn't freezing cold outside because all of my garage pipes would have froze because of this junk heater. $250 for 2 months use. The heater I replaced had been working since installed in 1976. 38 years of service on the old heater and 2 months on this Fahrenheat unit. September 14, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Garbage heater Wish I had read the reviews before purchase. This heater is the worse for the price. Do not, I repeat do not buy. February 17, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Seems to be working well- economic fair The heater seems to be working fair. Not sure regarding cost efficiency yet. Trying to be sure it is programed correctly. December 17, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible control system I am very handi when it comes to home improvement products and I couldnt get into the set-up stage with three, yes 3 different units. Do not waste your time with this product. Doesnt explain simple things like fan speed, how to turn the heater on, what the mode settings mean, ect For instant to set up it says to hold the up and down arrows for 1.5 seconds. I tried several different times over the period of 1 month and had no luck even getting to set up stage. The manufacturer sent me a new display and still would not even go into basic set up. Dont waste your time. November 21, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good product Installed the unit in our bedroom last winter. Does a good job. The remote for our tv turns the unit off. other than that it works fine. We had baseboard so it a bit louder but getting used to it. Only takes a few minutes to warm he room up or get it warmer if needed. i will be purchasing two more for the downstairs. October 23, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 0 for 2 on getting it to work I tried all the trouble shooting on the units. I've installed dozens of cadets at my other rentals. Ended up taking two back. Shame because it would have been perfect for me if it had worked as advertised. HD was good about returning them. March 4, 2013
