No. It is for a 25 inch opening. There are several other models that fit 22.5 inches.

Can this be made without the attic door? I would like to use it to access my loft space.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ladderaccess!!! EXCELLENT!!! Love the product. I wanted wood but heavy duty and this is IT... It installed easily, the pull down latch is great. Length was perfect and it is very sturdy.. The product was shipped in a timely manner and I did not have to be present to accept. Super, I would recommend it to anyone!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sturdy, well-constructed product The stairs are a great value for the money. They are very sturdy and easy to install and, excepting the particle board face, looked and worked great upon installation. I found the advertisement somewhat misleading, however. Nowhere is there a mention that the face is particle board -- so I expected a luan finished faceplate -- and the advertisement said "prefinished" which further led to my belief that the faceplate would be, at the least, painted/primed and, at the most luan. It was neither. This is a good value but it should come with a primed piece of luan to tack to the particle board. That would be worth an extra $20 or $30 and add immensely to the product. Expect to paint the surface. The metal bolt tops that appear flush on the faceplate will need to be primed with oil base first or they will rust through. Or you can spring for a piece of luan, but you would have to cut it precisely to square.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fine Product For what we needed this works just fine. Haven't put it to a full test yet. The face will need to be painted as it is unattractive.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Attic ladder Very nice, but the pulled down string is very cheaply done
