Elegant, superior quality, (ANSI approved) LWM ladder is made from powder painted metal, assembled in three sections and nicely finished with attention to detail. LWM is equipped with locking mechanism that is installed inside insulated and sealed door panel. Length of ladder may be adjusted within 1.3 in. after cutting the side rails to set ladder evenly on floor or if adjustment is needed following floor renovation. Construction of ladder provides more steps (tread rise about 10 in.) to improve safety and comfort. Easy-to-grasp small side rails along the entire staircase for safety. Brackets allow increasing space between ladder and attic door for comfort and safety. Springs are located on door surface to make entry to attic wider and more comfortable (the widest entrance on market compare to other products). Door is well balanced - it opens and closes easily (NO sudden movements). Ladder fits in R.O. 25 in. x 54 in. and ceiling heights 7 ft.11 in. to 10 ft. 1 in. Two-year warranty.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Bad Company To Deal With I picked up the unit from Home Depot and it appeared to be a good quality unit. I noticed that the installation kit that I wanted to use for my installation was optional. I called the company and was referred to another company even though the kit was available there. (Home Depot did not have the kit listed for purchase) I ordered the kit and when it arrived the packaging was damaged and the hardware was missing. I called the company back and the person told me that I could go to a local hardware store to replace the missing parts. I protested and asked to send the parts and I am still waiting. If I do not get them I am returning the unit to Home Depot. I even sent an e-mail to the parent company and never got a reply there either. The customer service from this company is terrible and they could care less about their customers. The right answer to me on the first call was to send me the kit and I would have happily paid for it. Instead I was referred elsewhere and I get a damaged kit and they are telling me to go to the hardware store for what I bought already to replace missing parts. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I would not buy another thing from this company. December 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good quality and well insulated I really like this attic ladder. It's sturdy and well made, and the door closes tightly to seal out the cold air in the attic. We installed it by putting some boards across the opening to hold the ladder in place while attaching it. Then I unscrewed the boards so my helper could escape the attic. This worked really well. We also had to saw off the bottom few rungs to fit our 8' ceiling, but that was not a big deal. November 15, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good ladder Easy to assemble. Good quality for the price. It could use a higher R-rating, but I could not find anything better on the market. October 28, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good Product-Horrible Instructions The Product itself is well made, but the instructions have nothing to do with installing for replacing an existing door, only for a new home or new install. Ladder is too long for my ceiling height, and I need to cut it down, but haven't gotten around to that yet. October 15, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Recieved broken Recieved the unit and side of frame was destroyed. Cheap thin wood was used in construction with simple staples holding it all together. I was surprised that the other components were un-affected due to the poor construction. I would not recommend. October 7, 2014
