No, the only two models of Fakro Ladders that are Fire Rated are "LSF" and "LWF" models. I hope this helps anyone looking for a fire rated ladder.

Answer:
From the end of the closed ladder to the outer most "Projection" in a swinging motion would be 65 1/2" to the stairs folded section. Once the stairs are locked downward position, the measurement from the end of the frame to the bottom of the stairs will be 56". I hope this helps anyone who is looking for this information.

In other words, if I have ceiling joists 16" on center, can I cut 2 joists, install a double trimmer to support the 2 cut joists and slide this unit in between the remaining joists that I do not have to cut? 16" X 3 - 1½" = 46.5"

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 34 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product This is a quality product the only complaint about it is the plastic feet for the bottom of the ladder are poor quality and split open, had to tape to hold together. October 18, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by dissapointed but it will do The feet on the bottom of the ladder were both broken and the door is cheap fiber board that had four cracks in it. In my opinion, the quality control in the factory seems to be lacking. All in all,it's a sturdy ladder. August 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quality and instructions The quick shipping from Home Depot is great! The product is exactly what I wanted and came with excellent directions September 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Solid attic stairs for 24" trusses We ended up with this model because we have 24" between trusses, and did not want to take out more than one. It is solid, has a great latch opening mechanism, and stays fully under the 2"x8"'s. November 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Buy Easy to install, and use. Highly recommend product. August 18, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great durable attic ladder for the price I had this ladder installed last week and so far I have used it several times and it is amazing how sturdy and strong it is. Even though it is metal it's very light weight. The metal rod makes it so easy to open and close the attic ladder door. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a good quality attic ladder that is durable and doesn't cost lots of money!! May 23, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Impressive Quality I have had wooden attic ladders before and was not happy with how they would become wobbly over time. So I decided to go with steel on this one. I was very impressed with how sturdy it is. I also liked how the door is sealed around the perimeter to prevent air infiltration/heat loss. The most difficult part was the prep of the opening but the instructions were very helpful. We deviated from the instructions and used "third hands" (expanding poles for crown molding installation) to hold the latter in place. My wife and I had no trouble lifting the unit into place in our 9' ceiling. The lenght of the ladder was perfect for our 9' ceiling so we did not have to make any cuts on the ladder. We also constructed a cover to go in the attic out of 2" foam board we bought at HD. January 13, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great product just what I've been looking for this ladder was easy to use and very sturdy to support us big and tall people. It allowed me easy access to my attic. June 14, 2015
