Hello and thank you for your interest in our product. The backsplash panels are recommended to be installed with PL Premium by Loctite which is a very aggressive adhesive that is meant for a more permanent application. Upon removal of these tiles with this specific adhesive, there will be damage done to the existing substrate due to the aggressiveness of the product. Your only other option would be to possibly install these panels using a decorative nail vs an adhesive. Hello and thank you for your interest in our product. These panels can be installed over existing tiles, however the surface needs to be clean, smooth, and free of any dust or grease to allow for proper adhesion. Customer Reviews

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful Backsplash We installed this product on the backsplash last night and it looks beautiful. We measured and cut all of the pieces and used painters tape to lay them out before we started gluing and it worked very well. It is easy to cut with either a utility knife and straight edge or sharp scissors. We had at least 22 linear feet including a corner 5 outlets, and around a window with a lower area and upper area with four partial panels each so it was not a small job and we finished in about 4.5 hours. I couldn't be happier with the finished product and it was a DIY project that I would definitely do again. July 30, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wow! I am totally useless and DIY and me don't usually mix but wow was this product easy to install! I bought my panels, my J trims, my inside corner trims (both trims fit perfectly!) and they even have matching finish outlet covers that are peel and stick. I used the 2-way tape in their display (I live in apartment so the PL glue was not my option) and it was so easy to use. my measurement skills being nada I had to unstick and re-stick a couple of times and the tape barely took any paint off (which I don't care since that is what I want to cover in the first place lol) 7 panels with trims and outlet covers with cuts and all took me 50 minutes to install and I am proud to say it looks great! My landlord had a pro quote the same area in (cheap lol) tile and it would have cost him $400 and now this project only cost him $175... And the panels really do look like stainless steel and I love to see all the reflections of different light. My only regret is that after I saw there were many more different styles and finishes that I could have special ordered. July 12, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Kitchen Must Very good product a must for anyone redoing a kitchen. April 13, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by So-so looks and a lot of work Pros: can be DIY project. Cons: 1) It doesn't look as nice as ceramic tile, neither it is more durable. 1) It's not too shiny, looks gray unless direct light is falling on it - but it's usually in the shade under wall cabinets. My white kitchen turned gray now. 2) Difficult to finish the edgers - provided J-trim is preferably to cut at 45 degrees which is difficult on such a thin strip of plastic. 3) No solutions for inside corners - there are U-channels but they don't match well with horizontal J-channels in the corner. 4) No solutions for "baseboard" trim where this panel meets the counter - J-channels can be used, but they are rounded so this doesn't work well. WARNING: don't use double-sided tape sold in the same aisle. Use a regular caulk. The tape is difficult to work with, and you can't make mistakes - removing the tape may damage thin coat of fake "metal". WARNING: This laminate costs $7 per square foot - twice as much as a decent wall tile, so don't even think of hiring anybody - it would be cheaper then to buy a ceramic tile and call a professional tile-setter. It is not a quick project. Plan 1.5-2 hours per each 18"x24" panel. January 22, 2012
