Hello and thank you for your interest in our product. The recommended adhesive is Loctite® PL Premium for a permanent application. Hello and thank you for your interest in our product. Once you have your backsplash installed, the panels can be cleaned with soap and water only. Any harsh abrasives will damage the finish on the tiles. For this reason, we normally do not recommend installing our panels inside a shower or bathtub. As long as our panels are not exposed to certain shower and bathtub cleaners, they are able to be used around the outside or above a shower. For additional protection in high traffic areas (outside of tub or above shower) we recommend applying a silicone sealant for moisture resistance. This will ensure quality protection for years to come. Please feel free to contact our customer care team at 800.434.3750 for any further questions. Thank you! Read Less

We have wallpaper behind our sink and the previous owners applied over the sheetrock and it is very difficult to remove without destroying the sheetrock. Looking for a solution that we can apply directly over the existing wallpaper.

Hello and thank you for your interest in our product. The wall that you plan to install wall panels on needs to be freshly cleaned, free from dust, grease, wax, etc. After you've cleaned the wall, be sure that it is dried thoroughly. Acceptable substrates are drywall, plaster or clean, smooth tile. Any damaged, loose or uneven areas must be repaired, patched, leveled and primed. Fill cracks and irregularities with wallboard compound or spackling, then sand smooth with fine-grade sandpaper. Any porous material like highly textured drywall, plywood (or any raw wood without primer), and wallpaper unless removed, sanded and primed, will result in adhesive failure. 24 in. x 18 in. Traditional 1 PVC Decorative Backsplash Panel in Smoked Pewter is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 93.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Farmhouse Kitchen on a Budget An affordable way to update the kitchen. We glued ours right over the old ugly tile, with supplies we were able to do the whole back splash for about $150. Very happy with the end product. We chose the matte white finish w/ slate GE appliances. We also painted the cabinets in Behr's NYPD. Butcher block counters from Ikea, believe it or not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product! I installed this product and it looks great. It took about 3 1/2 hours due to needing to cut it to fit the area I was working with. I would recommend that you paint under the cabinets and over the counter with the darkest color in the backsplash as the directions suggest. This will ensure that you don't have any obvious spaces showing in the event you cutting is a little uneven. I used the polyurethane adhesive instead of the double sided tape. It holds great! Overall I'm very satisfied with the product and the installation was not complicated. I would recommend this to any one looking to update the look of their kitchen!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A few challenges, but beautiful. I used these as a border in my bathroom, and they were relatively easy to put up. If you don't live 5 minutes away from a Home Depot that has all the accessories in stock, go ahead and order everything you might need, then return what you don't. I made 4 trips in 12 hours - to pick up the tiles & tape, to get adhesive because the tape didn't work, to get j-trim pieces because the panels weren't quite as easy to cut as I hoped and I had to disguise some ragged edges, and to get corner trim pieces because I realized that would finish out the look. I had a party a couple of weeks after completing the project and got lots of compliments. [I don't know why the photo is uploading sideways - sorry!]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy & inexpensive way to refresh an ugly backsplash I have used these panels at 2 homes now in the kitchen as an easy and inexpensive way to refresh the backsplash. The new house needs a new kitchen but that's a few years away and I needed to cover up the current ugly tile backsplash right away. With a few hours, no demo of the tile underneath and basic tools (scissors, measuring tape & caulk gun) my old backsplash was transformed! It's important to plan the area before you start cutting & also realize that the underside of the cabinets probably aren't square/even so a cardboard template can be helpful. Since I've used both now, I think that using the loctite adhesive to stick the tiles to the wall gives you a nicer final look than the double sided tape.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Magnificent I bought this product on line and when it arrived I wasn't too sure how it was going to look. When you see something on line and say wow looks great your always taking a chance on what it looks like when you get it home. After my husband put it up which took no time at all , it looks even better than I could have imagined . We also received it quicker than expected. Thank you for a great experience all the way around :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love my back splash! Very easy to install with great results. My husband and I were having a difficult time deciding on a back splash. We had looked at many different tiles and none of them seemed to be the right thing for pulling our kitchen together. We then discovered "facade" at home depot and we were sold. We purchased the cracked copper and are very happy with the end result. It adds a very warm feeling to our kitchen. We are going to purchase the matching ceiling panels to install over the island area of the kitchen. I have recommended this product to friends of ours who are looking to do or update a back splash area.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks Great and Extremely Easy to Install! Installation of this backsplash was amazingly simple and looks fantastic! I did it myself in an afternoon with basic tools: tape measure, pencil, scissors, razor knife and glue. Because the panels are relatively flat, there was no concern about the depth of my electrical outlets and switches. No need to call in an electrician to make changes! I am very pleased as this backsplash gave my kitchen the "WOW" it was missing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice tiles I used these for a project I was inspired to try from watching it on a TV improvement show. I built a table out of an old door and attached these tiles in the panels with double-sided tape then coated the entire table with a clear resin. Turned out super nice. They have a nice contrast with the dark wood color of the table. I'm a woman and by no means "handy" - but I would dare to install this myself as a backsplash. This company sells a variety of colors. They're easy to cut with scissors although a sharp cutting tool would be best; they also sell the edges to cover the imperfections left behind when you cut.
