Rated 1 out of 5 by from Color or finish is off from the panels I chose not to use it after looking at it. The color or finish is off compared to the panels. It may be the different surfaces, but I think it is off and it looked bulky for trim for back splash. If you work with the panels carefully you can get them to fit well enough that the trim is not needed. Also, paint the wall a color to match prior to installation then any flaws are almost invisible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trim looks great, easy to work with Trim arrived quickly. Used it with a different product/faux tin backsplash than that for which it was intended. Matched perfectly with "antique silver" faux tin. Easy to use, cuts easily, looks great. This is only sold online. The same product in the store is only 18" long, where this is 48". MUCH better value for your money. Initially I was concerned about the estimated shipping time, which was almost a MONTH! However, it arrived in only a few days. And shipping was FREE!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Finishing Piece I bought this J channel to finish off the edge of the 1" x 1" mosaic tiles we used for a back splash in the kitchen. It now looks fantastic. Too bad the store does not carry anything like this nor was it recommended to us by a store associate. We learned of it from my brother-in-law who lives in Canada and a store associate there recommended it for finishing the edge on a back splash he was doing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Okay but isn't very compatible with the 'Dunes' backsplash pattern My first issue is the length of the material which the factory sales rep stated can only be four feet because the shipper basically destroys anything longer.....LAME excuse.....have you ever tried shipping in a tube container of hard cardboard that resists crushing?! The butted edges of the molding looks incredibly unprofessional. My second issue deals with the pattern material that I used for my backsplash which is called 'Dunes.' I ordered the four by eight sheet of this backsplash material because I didn't like the way the 18" tiles looked which I thought was rather cheesy. The backsplash material sheet was rather pricey compared to installing the individual tiles but for the area that I was trying to remodel, I probably came out ahead in the long run. The 'Dunes' pattern is rippled throughout the entire sheet of the backsplash material and has only two flat edges, the top and one side. Where the pattern is not flattened (from the factory) the backsplash material is extremely thick, particularly where you must cut the backsplash material to tailor a good fit into the area where you are installing it. When cutting the material to accommodate the width, the j-channel molding is too narrow to fit into the backsplash material...big duh! Unfortunately, there is no way to 'flatten' the backsplash material where the j-channel molding fits into the backsplash material. The thick, rippled pattern does not allow the shallow j-channel modeling to seat either, and I actually had to glue the j-channel molding with Gorilla glue to get the backsplash material to stay in the molding. The distorting problem is personified when, all said and done, the j-channel molding creates huge gaps in sections of the backsplash material where the flat j-channel molding spans the (cut/unflattened) edge of the material. I suppose you could caulk the gaps if you were worried about foods and debris getting into the gaps, but my gosh, that would be time consuming and labor intensive and might still look butt UGLY. I thought this backsplash was designed to be easier to install than tile...not!! Unfortunately, I was misinformed and would have probably gone with tile or something else. I would revert back to tile if I hadn't spent so much money and time installing this pattern and trying to get it to look, at the very most, normal. I'm not real happy with the results but I'll have to learn to live with it. Oh, I used two tubes of the Locktite glue compound on my eight square foot installation and that much compound was still not can push on the backsplash material in some spots and it is 'loose' and not attached. Maybe others can learn from my mistakes.
