Hello and thank you for your interest in our product. The panels that you are asking about are designed to lay into a preexisting grid system. Being that the panels are made out of a PVC thermal plastic there is some flexibility to them, however still very durable. Please feel free to contact our customer care team at 800.434.3750 for any further questions or needed assistance. Thanks again!

Hello! Thank you for your interest in our products. Unfortunately, we do not recommend putting our Fasade ceiling tiles over a popcorn textured ceiling. With textured ceilings, we have had customers who scrape/sand down their ceilings or nail up a layer of plywood to attain that smooth surface. Prior to installation, it is recommended that the entire ceiling be smooth and flat. Apply a drywall primer or oil based paint primer. Being that our panels are so textured (extensive patterns) they must have an extremely smooth, flat surface or they will pull away from the ceiling. Thus causing adhesion failure. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to contact our customer care department at 800.434.3750. Thank you! Read Less
