Am looking @ oil-rubbed bronze, the girds do not look the same color as tiles. Will they match? I have a 180 sq ft kitchen, how many tiles will I need and how many kits? Will these hold up better then tin in kitchen?

Answer:
Hello and thank you for your interest in our product. The Traditional 1 Lay-In Ceiling tile is designed to sit inside of a preexisting grid system so no real damage would be done. However, if you decide to go with a direct apply application, that is going to be a more permanent installation. Please feel free to contact our customer care team at 800.434.3750 for further questions or needed assistance. Read More

Answer:
These are fairly durable thermoplastic panels if installed properly.
The only caveat I'd say is to make sure the kids or whoever is there is to have their shoes off so it doesn't scuff the surface.
Other than that, it can be just fine for the vertical surface under the breakfast bar.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to work with and cuts with kitchen scissors and razor knife Did kitchen backsplash and cabinet sides, cuts with scissors and razor knife, pre cut everything and used blue tape to see how everything fits and looks, then after being satisfied with the look, used double side tape, 3 strips panel wide, and glue drops in critical areas, started and finished in one day..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The tiles add a very decorative design to the normal look of a drop ceiling. They are easy to install and work with; taking only a pair of scissors to cut them. Very little skill is needed to install.
