CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.0 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by screws shear easily I used the azek screws for timber tech composite recently. I have installed composite many times but this is my first time with these screws and with timber tech. all the screws were used for was the boarder around a 12 x 18 deck I had no issues with cracking as other reviewers have said but around 10% sheared off where the threads reverse as they were being driven into treated 2x10. the screw head would all of a sudden start spinning freely near the surface. I managed to pull one out that was not far in yet but for most I had to drill out the screw head slowly as to not melt the boards, then plug each hole and try again. I would not recommend these screws. May 24, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not For The Inexperienced DYI The internet is festooned with videos by installation professionals showing how easy it is to use this product. And I don't dispute that it is for them. But if you're an inexperienced DIY'er like me ... DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. I executed the installation exactly as I saw it demonstrated. And in every single attempt, before the screw was halfway in the trim (PVC) cracked and broke. I don't know if it's the heat, or the drill was trying to go in too fast (although the videos I saw were of guys driving them in even faster than I did. But you will be disappointed if you try getting these screws in if you don't have any background in carpentry and installation. February 26, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by fair to excellent The excellent part is the appearance . . . I've tried everything, white stainless steel trimhead screw, counter-sink and fill - never, never use silicone caulk and nothing even came out poor to barely acceptable. The "fair part is that the screw and bit are undersized for task, especially if the wood behind the Azek hard the screws will strip which is why I pre-drilled the holes. You will too after spending the annoying effort and time of dealing with the stripped screw half way in the hole. But it does look better than any alternative, trust me on that. April 2, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CLEAN LOOK WHEN FINISHED Didnt want to spend the money at first, but at the end of the job I was really glad I did. The quality of the screws is excellent, and the caps covering the screws makes the fasteners invisible. July 23, 2012
