Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by tj33617 Watch out if you want to install this with a deadbolt above!
The part of this product containing the keys is TOO TALL. It ended up covering the hole above where the deadbolt is supposed to go. Unfortunately, my new pre-hung door already had the hole for the deadbolt drilled, so I had to return the lock and go with a normal key-only lock. It seems that this problem is shared by all of the keypad-entry locks in the store. Oh, the aggravating things you don't see coming in home improvement! It would have been nice to WARN people about this.
If you have a NEW SOLID DOOR without the deadbolt holes made OR if you don't want a deadbolt at all, you would probably be able to use this lock.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by YoungHomeowners install is difficult on a metal door
We installed this on our metal clad front door. It is clearly designed for a wooden door so our installation was a challenge, but do-able. The lock seems durable and I like that all the pieces are metal instead of plastic. I like that the outside handle is completely disabled even though it still moved (like a car handle) rather than locked in place like a traditional door knob. I dislike that the cover on the inside portion doesn't sit flush to the door, although this is likely because of the metal door issue. I also worry about the finish. It seems to be painted on and I've already noticed a few tiny scratches.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SAODUDE Keypad lock for garage door works great
Installed on my rear garage entry door. Looks great, easy to install with easy to switch handle from left to right (that was a lifesaver for me). Zero complaints with this purchase, very happy. Saves me having to go get a key every time I need access to the garage from the backyard, which is often.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MSToyA Great looking doorknob!
So keeping up with the newage era I decided to buy this handle and I absolutely love it. You can set many different codes. We have ours set to the automatic lock so whenever the door closes it locks on the outside. The first two weeks I had to change the batteries twice however I haven't had to change them since the week before Christmas and its now March. I chose energizer max. This knob makes any door look fancy and guests always asks about it!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by SRR042470 Cheaply made, and not easy to install and is not user friendly
This door lock is cheaply made, horrible instructions that are not clear, and setup was so unfriendly that i finally gave up and returned the unit. I see now why Home Depot only sells this product online and not in store. Worst thing i have ever bought at Home Depot

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by BCRustan Looks nice, but locks when it wants too!
It doesn't lock all the time. We constantly have to remove the batter and put it back in to reset it, to have it lock again.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by bobb Easy installation and programming.
I was generally satisfied with this product. An easier to use lock button would be a great improvement.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Binan Not so good
The lock felt solidly built. Had it worked correctly I believe it would have provided proper security. However the electronics are the weak point. The lock would not function as described.
The install was not too difficult. The manual is rather skimpy as far are directions go. I can see that someone that has not worked with installing locks would have problems with doing the install. As an example a collar that is on the handle shaft is not even described in the manual and it has to be removed / re-installed when door handle is taken off to install the unit.
The worst part of my purchase was the lock did not work properly. It did not re-lock as described. It was said to re-lock after 5 seconds (programmable but preset to 5 seconds). I did several master resets in an attempt to clear any program bugs. This helped in that the lock would function correctly for one or two operations, but then stopped re-locking again. It had some un-described beeping and light flashing when it stopped working. I have no idea if the beeps / light flashes were normal since they are un-described in the 'skimpy' manual. I even tried different (new / fresh) batteries. Nothing helped. I gave it 1/2 hour to re-lock and it never did.
If the lock was stocked in the store I would have given it another try, exchanged it for another new one. It is available on-line only. I did not want to wait, deal with ordering / shipping again. So I returned it at the local Home Depot and bought the more expensive Schlage that is stocked in the store.
If the quality improves I might give these a try again in the future. It was the right price point for me to install on my apartments, unlike the Schlage. For now I would not recommend this lock. Not worth the hassle of ordering, waiting for arrival, dealing with frustrating / incomplete manual, installing, then removing it when it does not work to try all over again. They have to be reliable for me to install on my apartments. I do not want something that will cause more trouble calls!
